Pro Kabaddi 2024 (PKL 11) is up and running. After a successful first leg in Hyderabad, the action has now shifted to Noida as we enter the final month of the league phase. It’s been a season full of upsets and Gujarat Giants have added the latest upset to the list after pulling off an unexpected and hard-fought win against an in-form Telugu Titans.
Giants came out strong and gave a good account of themselves against the Titans. They also ended the Titans’ three-match winning streak and were shocked with a performance to remember. In the final stages of the match, Gujarat won the match by making a brilliant super tackle.
After the game, Gujarat Giants’ head coach Ram Meher Singh and Telugu Titans’ head coach Krishan Kumar Hooda addressed the media and shared their thoughts.
Gujarat Giants coach’s thoughts on the game
“Whenever the team wins, the coaches and players naturally feel happy. It was a good game as both teams gave their best. Even the audience enjoyed the game until the last raid. We dominated the game for most of the time, but there were a lot of ups and downs as well.
“It is an important win because impossible is nothing. If we can win more games, the team will feel confident, and we need the momentum now. Both our attack and defense played well today.”
Telugu Titans coach on Pawan Sehrawat
Telugu Titans‘ head coach was quizzed about an update on skipper Pawan Sehrawat’s availability and when he can join the team on the mat. The head coach replied that Sehrawat would join the team soon. He also mentioned that offence is not a concern for his side, but the defense is.
“He will come soon. But, raiding is not our problem, defence is our problem. Our raiders are doing great, but there are a lot of problems in our defence,” he signed off.
