On the loss in the first match of PKL 11
The reigning Pro Kabaddi League champions, Puneri Paltan, began with a blistering start, racing to a 4-0 lead within minutes. However, Patna Pirates responded swiftly, with Ankit’s Super Tackle on Aslam Inamdar reducing the margin to just one point in the early stages of the game.
“This was the first match and we were facing the defending champions who are a sorted team. We made some mistakes, mostly in the raiding department. It was the defence that held the match until the end but if the Raiders had played a little better, the result would have been different,” said Patna Pirates coach
“This was my first match as a captain and we have a young squad who made a few mistakes. We will look into our mistakes and rectify them before the next match,” Shubham Shinde added.
