On Parteek Dahiya’s injury

Gujarat Giants dominated early, with their defence, led by Rohit, stifling the Bulls’ initial advances. Parteek Dahiya’s quick raids gave the Giants momentum, but the Bulls, led by Nitin Rawal and Pardeep Narwal, levelled the scores midway through the first half. At halftime, the Bengaluru Bulls edged ahead, leading 15-13. However, Gujarat were dealt a major blow with Parteek Dahiya suffering a shoulder injury.

“I don’t know the extent or the details of the injury yet. He [Parteek] fell with the entire weight on his arm and has probably dislocated it, ” informed the Gujarat Giants coach.

“When an important player gets injured, it is obviously very difficult for the team and it affects their morale as well, ” he added.

On the motivation and road ahead for Bengaluru Bulls in PKL 11

The Gujarat Giants began the second half strongly, with Rakesh’s raids and Neeraj forcing an ALL OUT, regaining their lead. However, Bengaluru Bulls kept chipping away at the deficit, with Sushil, Jai Bhagwan, and Nitin Rawal stepping up in attack and defence. As the match neared its conclusion, Rakesh’s raids helped the Giants maintain a slim lead, but the Bulls fought back valiantly.

“We do come with a mindset and plan for every match, and we will do the same for the upcoming matches too. If our defence and offence play together like a team, that can give us a fair chance for anything to happen,” said Bengaluru Bulls’ captain Pardeep Narwal.

In the final minutes, both Neeraj and Nitin Rawal registered high 5s, reflecting their critical contributions. The match remained fiercely contested until the final whistle, ending with both teams locked at 34-34 in an exhilarating start to PKL 11’s Pune leg.
