Vijay Malik led the charge for the Titans with 11 points, while Ashish Narwal contributed 9. For the Bengal Warriorz, Maninder Singh put on a stellar show with 14 points, supported by Manjeet’s 7-point effort. However, Telugu Titans were still without their captain and star raider Pawan Sehrawat.

“He will not play the next match as well, ” said the Telugu Titans coach.

The game started on an even note, with both teams trading blows in the initial exchanges. The Bengal Warriorz relied on Manjeet and Fazel Atrachali in defence, while Vijay Malik and Ashish Narwal drove the Telugu Titans forward. Telugu will now go on to face UP Yoddhas next in PKL 11.

“See now the league is at a stage where every match is important. They are now number one, and but they lost their last match against us, that doesn’t mean we will take them easy, ” said the Telugu Titans coach.

“Shadloui is a very good player, we have to make a plan for him. All other players are good, but he is a little different, ” added Vijay Malik.

Midway through the first half, Ashish’s 3-point raid gave the Titans a slim lead, but Maninder’s Super Tackle brought Bengal Warriorz back into contention. At halftime, the Titans held a narrow 16-15 advantage.

“What team, which team are playing against us, that does not matter, how we play is all that matters. Like we played so well against Haryana and today we were so poor. Like for me it is not important for us, but if we play like this we don’t have a chance,” said Fazel Atrachali.

The second half saw the Warriorz briefly take the lead through a Maninder raid and a Dipak Shinde Super Tackle. However, the Titans responded with an ALL OUT and regained control. Ashish Narwal’s stunning 4-point raid extended the Titans’ lead, and despite a late surge by Maninder, the Titans held firm to secure a crucial win.

“Every match from now is do-or-die for us. We have six matches, left, we have to try and fight for the playoffs. We have no other option but to try, ” said Fazel Atrachali.
