Pardeep Narwal-led Bengaluru Bulls are currently at the 11th spot in the points table.

Season 6 champion team Bengaluru Bulls have suffered a major setback in the middle of Season 11, with the team’s star raider and captain Pardeep Narwal ruled out for six to eight weeks from Pro Kabaddi League 2024 PKL 11 following an MCL injury.

Narwal was pulled early out of the game against Bengal Warriorz and revealed his discomfort later during the post-match conference.

Pardeep Narwal is currently dealing with a left knee injury that includes several ligament sprains, interstitial tears, and a slight reduction in joint space. While common among athletes, this injury still requires careful management, though it’s typically not considered severe.

His medial collateral ligament (MCL) has partial interstitial tears, so his recovery will focus on strengthening and healing through a structured rehab program. Initially, he may need around 6–8 weeks for basic recovery, with light training resuming in 8–10 weeks if all goes well. However, a full return to competitive play might extend up to 12–16 weeks, depending on his progress.

Pardeep Narwal’s comeback for Bengaluru Bulls in PKL was not what he expected. With a challenging PKL 10 season with UP Yoddhas, where he managed 122 raid points in 17 matches, Pardeep hoped for a change when he returned to the same team he made his PKL debut with in Season 2. However, things have not gone very well for him. So far in PKL 11, Pardeep has played seven matches and scored 37 raid points, with an average of 5.28 points per match and a raid success percentage of 55.22%.

Now Pardeep Narwal is out for 6-8 weeks, so it seems that he will not be able to take part in the remaining matches of Bengaluru Bulls.

With his absence, the playoff hopes for the Randhir Singh Sehrawat have been dashed, with Ajinkya Paar and Jai Bhagwan already in a forgettable form this season. They currently sit at the 11th spot in PKL 11 as they prepare to take Jaipur Pink Panthers on November 12 in Noida.
