Tamil Thalaivas will begin their PKL 11 campaign against Telugu on October 19.

The legendary defender with his cheeky style answered that Thalaivas would be the team to beat for all other sides as they have assembled a strong squad to go for the title.

Such is the mood among the fans of the Thalaivas since the Auction. Having retained their core, they also made the most expensive purchase of the auction, acquiring the services of Sachin Tanwar. Many experts have rated the squad highly and they expect Thalaivas to be on the winning side more often than not.

3. Narender

In the six-season journey of Tamil Thalaivas, they have made it to the playoffs only once. It was in season nine when the expectations were sky-high after they bought Pawan Sehrawat in the auction. The Indian skipper was out due to injury, and it was Narender who took the team to the playoffs. He impressed everyone in his debut season winning the new young player of the season award.

The left raider continued his good run in season 10 as well making him one of the names to watch out for. Making his debut in season seven, the left-corner defender has been one of the finest performers in the league. With 201 tackle points in the last three seasons, he has been the best defender in the league in the period.

He has taken over the reins of captaincy of Tamil Thalaivas and, hence will be a definite starter in every game.
