Titans have once again expressed confidence in Pawan Sehrawat.

Pawan Sehrawat has been reappointed as the skipper of the Telugu Titans for season 11 of the Pro Kabaddi League. The all-rounder also led the team last year after being bought for a whopping record price in the Auction. Despite the team finishing last, the team retained the services of Pawan Sehrawat by exercising the FBM card.

The Indian skipper will look to change the fortunes of the side that has finished at the bottom of the points table in the last three seasons. Telugu Titans are the only team from the original set of eight franchises from the inaugural edition that has not laid their hands on the trophy.

Titans seemed determined to have a shot at the title and they started the preparation as early as the final week of season 10 when they appointed Krishna Kumar Hooda as the head coach of the season. The Dronacharya awardee is known for picking the talents and building a strong squad. A few eyebrows were raised when he released Pawan Sehrawat ahead of the auction.

However, the team from the south used the Final Bid Match option 1.725cr and has been entrusted with the responsibility of captaincy. Apart from the skipper, the team from Hyderabad made some impressive buys firstly in the raiding department with Ashish Narwal and Manjeet. These two will look to support Pawan along with some quality all-rounders.

The defense also got strengthened thanks to Krishan Dhull who has had an impressive career so-far in the league history. The team has built a solid squad which can challenge any side in the league. By appointing Pawan as the skipper, the mantle is on the Hi-Flyer to inspire his teammates to their maiden title.

The 28-year-old will relish the challenge of leading the side. He will be aided by Coach Hooda who has tasted success with Dabang Delhi, qualifying for finals in season seven and clinching the title in season eight. The veteran will be reuniting with his two finds from Delhi Krishan Dhull and Vijay Malik.

Pawan Sehrawat will be relieved to have the likes of Krishan and Vijay to challenge other teams in the league. He was fighting a lone battle last season. The Indian skipper will look to inspire his squad to make it to the playoffs and probably aim to win the title as well.
