PKL 12: Ashu Malik provides major update on his injury ahead of final

Dabang Delhi will now face the winner of Qualifier 2 in the PKL 12 final.
Dabang Delhi defeated Puneri Paltan in Qualifier 1 of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12) to secure their place in the Final. The match was a complete rollercoaster, with one team dominating for a while before the other made a comeback just moments later.
There was no difference between the two teams after 40 minutes of play, forcing the match into a tiebreaker to decide who would advance to the final. In the tiebreaker, Saurabh Nandal made a crucial tackle on Aslam Inamdar with a strong ankle hold, after which Delhi played smartly to seal the victory.
However, Puneri Paltan will get another chance to reach the final as they will face the winner of Eliminator 3 in Qualifier 2. After the game, representatives from both teams addressed the media.
Update on Ashu Malik’s Injury

Dabang Delhi captain Ashu Malik gave an important update on his injury and said, “Our next game is after 3 to 4 days, and we have good physios on the team. They did a great job helping me recover from my previous injury, so with 3 to 4 days, I should be able to recover by then.”
He also spoke about today’s match and added, “Fazel and the coach have always supported me, and Surjeet is a senior too. When I was substituted due to injury, I saw that the team wasn’t doing well and had conceded a lead of 7–8 points.
“So I came back with the mindset that even if I don’t score, I’ll guide the team. We have great bonding, we listen to and follow each other’s advice. It was an important match, so I took a pain relief spray and came back to play again.”
