PKL Season 12 Auction Date Revealed

Haryana Steelers are the defending champions of PKL.
The second most popular franchise league in India, the Pro Kabaddi League, will enter its 12th edition this year. The first activity before every season is the player auction, where all players will be under the hammer, trying to grab massive price tags.
As you may know, the PKL 12 auction will take place in the last week of May. But the question is, what is the date of the auction? So, as per Khel Now sources, the PKL season 12 player auction is all set to be held between May 23 and 24 and will witness all the teams battle it out against each other to assemble a title-winning side. This is great news for all the Kabaddi lovers across the country.
In the previous edition of PKL, Haryana Steelers won their maiden title by defeating three-time champions Patna Pirates in the final. The Steelers made a strong comeback in the last edition, after losing the 2023 final to Puneri Paltan. They will be determined not to make too many changes to their winning combination and add more strength to their squad.
The tournament organisers have announced the PKL 12 player categorisation list, which will serve as a list of guidelines for the franchises in retaining their players. Moreover, it remains to be seen who will be retained by their franchises and who will go under the hammer yet again this season.
Teams looking to rebuild
The onus will be on the likes of Bengaluru Bulls to do their complete homework before the auction. The Bulls finished last in the standings and were the most vulnerable side in the league last season. They will be keen to bounce back and put together a strong team under the supervision of new head coach BC Ramesh.
Gujarat Giants, Bengal Warriorz, and the Tamil Thalaivas will also want to put the previous edition behind their backs and gather a good group of players for the next edition. PKL 10 champions Puneri Paltan will be poised to get back to where they belong after a disappointing season last time out. Aslam Inamdar will be fit and expected to lead Puneri Paltan yet again.
Telugu Titans will have to find a way to break into the top six, having missed out once again last season. Last season, they had built a strong team on paper, but couldn’t make it big.
Whereas Dabang Delhi, UP Yoddhas, and Patna Pirates will need to make some changes to perform better in the upcoming season. Meanwhile, U Mumba and Jaipur Pink Panthers will look to overcome their inconsistency and put up better performances.
