PKL 12 Auction: UP Yoddhas use FBM to retain Mahender Singh at base price

Dabang Delhi placed the only bid for Mahender Singh.
Mahender Singh was called up in the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12) auction with a base price of INR 20 lakhs. Dabang Delhi made the only bid for the 29-year-old, looking to snap up his services on base.
With no other bids around the room, he was sold to the Delhi-based franchise, but UP Yoddhas had different plans. They used the FBM card on their player to get the left cover back into their squad for the upcoming edition of the Pro Kabaddi League.
Day 1 of the PKL auction concluded with 10 players getting paid over INR 1 Cr and two players finding no takers. The second day of the PKL auction will take place on Sunday (June 1) and will commence in the morning.
