PKL 12 Auction: Jaipur Pink Panthers sign raider Manjeet Dahiya at steal deal

Manjeet Dahiya was released by U Mumba.
Manjeet Dahiya will ply his trade for Jaipur Pink Panthers in the 12th edition of the Pro Kabaddi League after the Season 1 champions signed the raider for INR 40 lakhs. Dabang Delhi began the bidding for Manjeet at his base price of INR 20 lakhs and kept fighting till the end with the Pink Panthers.
Delhi had to give up on Manjeet as Jaipur’s bid of INR 40 lakhs exceeded their budget for the player.
Jaipur Pink Panthers will be Manjeet Dahiya’s sixth team across seven editions in the Pro Kabaddi League. He has previously played for five different teams, including Patna Pirates, the only club he was part of for two seasons.
A look at Manjeet Dahiya’s PKL journey
Manjeet Dahiya made his PKL debut in the Pro Kabaddi League with Patna Pirates in Season 6. He earned 102 points from 22 matches in his maiden PKL season with the Pirates before moving to Puneri Paltan. The 28-year-old player earned 151 points from 22 matches in the following season before finding a new home in the PKL.
In PKL Season 8, Manjeet earned 167 points from 20 matches with the Tamil Thalaivas. He wasn’t retained by the Thalaivas and moved to the Haryana Steelers for the ninth edition of the Pro Kabaddi League. With the Steelers, Manjeet earned 163 points from 22 games before returning to Patna Pirates for his second stint with the club.
Manjeet Dahiya earned 120 points from 22 matches with the Pirates in his second season with the three-time PKL champions. In PKL Season 11, he bagged 107 points from 23 matches for U Mumba and is consistently scoring over 100 raid points in every PKL season.
Despite his consistency, Manjeet has failed to stick with a single club for over one season. He has changed five teams in six seasons.
