Parvesh Bhainswal had a modest outing for U Mumba last season.

U Mumba have brought back experienced left-cover defender Parvesh Bhainswal for ₹25.10 lakh at the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12) auction. The 26-year-old returns to the Mumbai-based franchise after a lukewarm campaign with them last season.

While his performances in PKL 11 may not have lived up to expectations, his overall experience and leadership in defence still make him a valuable addition to the squad. Parvesh has been one of the most seasoned defenders in the league, and U Mumba will be hoping he can rediscover his old form when Season 12 kicks off.

A look at Parvesh Bhainswal’s PKL Journey

Parvesh Bhainswal started his Pro Kabaddi League journey with Jaipur Pink Panthers in Season 4, but it wasn’t until his move to Gujarat Giants that he truly flourished. Between Seasons 5 and 8, he became a defensive mainstay for the Ahmedabad-based franchise, consistently delivering strong performances.

Season 6 remains his best so far, where he picked up 86 tackle points in 25 matches at a remarkable average of 3.28 successful tackles per match, with a tackle success rate of 59%.

During his time with Gujarat Giants, he registered multiple High 5s and Super Tackles, finishing several seasons as one of the league’s top defenders before making a move to Telugu Titans in season 9. His performance dipped slightly in Season 10 with Telugu Titans, where he only managed 8 tackle points in 15 matches.

However, he bounced back in Season 11 with a little better performance, representing U Mumba and picking up 38 tackle points from 23 matches, even though his success rate dropped to 40%.

Across 160 PKL matches, Parvesh has accumulated a total of 352 points, with 348 of those coming through defence. He has 35 Super Tackles and 19 High 5s to his name and maintains a career tackle success rate of 47%.

U Mumba have shown faith in Parvesh by bringing him back into their setup, and the left-cover defender will be eager to repay that trust. With plenty of experience under his belt and a point to prove after an average season, Parvesh Bhainswal could be one of the key players to watch in PKL 12.
