PKL 12: Top five best moments from Day 11 matches

U Mumba becomes the new table toppers at the end of Day 11 of PKL 12.
Day 11 of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12) began with a clash between the Bengaluru Bulls and Haryana Steelers.
The Bulls, in a new avatar and approach since their last match, registered back-to-back victories by defeating the defending champions, Haryana Steelers. Alireza once again was the star of the clash, receiving strong support from captain Yogesh Dahiya and the newly introduced left corner, Deepak Sankar.
The second match of Day 11 featured the bottom-ranked Patna Pirates going up against table-toppers Puneri Paltan, but the result was the exact opposite of expectations.
Pirates completely dominated the full 40 minutes of the game and registered their first victory of the season. Ayan had a wonderful outing, scoring 21 raid points and destroying Pune’s defense
The day was filled with incredible performances and jaw-dropping moments that left fans in awe. On that note, let’s take a look at the top five moments from Day 11 of PKL 12:
5. Deepak Sankar’s High 5
Following the recent controversy involving Ankush Rathee and the Bengaluru Bulls, the team decided to replace him with a fresh face, Deepak Sankar. Hailing from Tamil Nadu, Deepak was one of the New Young Players (NYPs) picked by the Bulls for this season.
So far, he has been performing exceptionally well in the left corner, scoring 12 tackle points in just four matches. Today, he registered his first High 5 in the PKL against the Haryana Steelers, playing a key role in helping the Bulls secure yet another victory.
4. Yogesh Dahiya’s High 5
Yogesh is loving his job as the Bengaluru Bulls’ captain, leading his team to two consecutive victories after a poor start to the season. Head coach BC Ramesh even hailed him as their “Lucky Captain.”
Taking on the captaincy has elevated his performance. Today, he registered his first High 5 of the season, scoring 6 tackle points in total to lead the Bulls to yet another victory.
3. Alireza’s Super 10
Alireza Mirzaian is emerging as the star of Bengaluru Bulls this season. He scored his third Super 10 in just five games, proving his consistency on the mat. Out of 18 raids today, he was unsuccessful in only one and scored 12 raid points.
Alireza had an answer for every move from the Steelers’ defense, leading the Bulls’ raiding unit and helping his team to secure yet another convincing victory.
2. Ayan’s Super 10
Ayan was all over Puneri Paltan’s defense today, dominating the match from start to finish. From the very beginning, he took control and delivered blow after blow to Pune’s defense, completing his Super 10 in the first half and continuing his form well into the second.
He wasn’t tackled even once for the first 30 minutes, and by the time Pune finally managed to stop him, it was far too late for a possible comeback.
Ayan registered his second consecutive Super 10 of the season and took it a step further. He also scored his career-best 21 raid points, a performance that equals Devank’s 21-point outing against the Steelers, making it the best raiding performance by any player so far this season.
1. Naveen Kumar’s Injury
Naveen Kumar’s injury troubles continue. The star raider, who has been battling injuries since Season 8, suffered another setback today. While attempting a raid, he injured his knee midway through. After that, he abandoned the attempt and lay down on the mat.
The physio team rushed in, and Naveen was carried off the court on a stretcher, not a great sight for any Kabaddi fan. Haryana Steelers supporters and Naveen’s fans will be hoping for his speedy recovery and a strong comeback.
