PKL 12: Top five best moments from Day 12 matches

Dabang Delhi are the new table-toppers at the end of Day 12 of PKL 12.

Day 12 of Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12) kicked off with a clash between Dabang Delhi and Bengal Warriorz. It was a battle between two star raiders, Devank Dalal and Ashu Malik, and the match lived up to expectations as both raiders scored their Super 10s.

However, despite Devank’s efforts, Bengal fell short due to a lack of defensive support, ultimately suffering another defeat.

The second match was pure drama as Jaipur Pink Panthers made a grand comeback in the final two minutes, dragging the game into a tiebreaker. Despite Gujarat’s one-point lead and the advantage of taking the final raid of the tiebreaker, they bottled their chance, and the scores were tied once again, leading to a Golden Raid.

Jaipur’s captain Nitin Rawal won the toss, sending Nitin Dhankar to raid, and he calmly secured an easy point to seal a thrilling victory for the Panthers.

The day was packed with thrilling moments that left fans on the edge of their seats. On that note, let’s take a look at the top five moments from Day 12 of PKL 12:

5. Rakesh’s Super 10

Rakesh had a brilliant outing today against the Panthers, scoring his first Super 10 of the season with a total of 11 raid points. He was one of the key reasons Gujarat Giants held a lead heading into the final minutes.

However, with almost no support from his teammates, Rakesh’s lone efforts weren’t enough to secure the win, as the Giants fell short in the Golden Raid.

4. Devank Dalal’s Super 10

Last season’s Best Raider, Devank Dalal, is once again in red-hot form, scoring four Super 10s in four games, showcasing his remarkable consistency and dominance.

He registered 12 raid points today against Dabang Delhi, but with no real support from Bengal’s defense, who managed only 5 tackle points compared to Delhi’s 11, they had to face yet another loss.

3. Ashu Malik’s Super 10

If we talk about the most memorable moments of the day, Ashu Malik‘s name is bound to come up; it’s almost a habit for him now to score a Super 10 in every game. Ashu was in top form once again today, scoring 16 raid points and getting tackled only once throughout the entire match.

His raiding brilliance helped Delhi register their fourth consecutive victory, keeping them unbeaten this season, while Ashu continues his perfect streak of Super 10s in all four matches.

2. Nitin Dhankar’s Super 10

Nitin, who made a costly mistake in the previous game against Dabang Delhi that resulted in Jaipur Pink Panthers’ loss, redeemed himself today with a brilliant performance, scoring 15 raid points.

With Gujarat Giants leading by four points and less than 90 seconds remaining, Nitin stepped up, consistently picking up points and dragging the game into a tie-breaker.

When the tiebreaker also ended in a draw, the match moved to a Golden Raid. Jaipur won the toss and once again put their faith in Nitin, and he delivered, securing an easy point to seal a thrilling victory for the Panthers.

1. The Tiebreaker and the Golden Raid

Today, the Pro Kabaddi League witnessed its second-ever Golden Raid. The first came just a few days ago when Ashu Malik scored two points against Puneri Paltan to secure a victory for Dabang Delhi.

This time, after the match went into a tiebreaker, both teams played smartly, giving away only bonuses or single points while avoiding risky multi-point raids. The turning point came when Deepanshu, raiding for Jaipur, gave away his ankle to Shadlu, giving the Giants an early advantage.

Gujarat used this edge smartly until the final raid of the tiebreaker, when Shridhar Kadam was sent in to raid. That’s when Aryan Kumar came up clutch, tackling him and leveling the scores, dragging the game into a Golden Raid.

Both captains stepped up for the toss, and when Nitin Rawal won it for Jaipur, the Panthers’ dugout erupted in celebration, such was the importance of that toss. Jaipur trusted Nitin Dhankar for the raid, and he sealed the victory with a calm and easy point, handing the Panthers a dramatic win.
