PKL 12: Top five best moments from Day 13 matches

Puneri Paltan are the new table-toppers at the end of Day 13 of PKL 12.

Day 13 of Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12) followed a similar template in both matches. In the first game, U Mumba faced Telugu Titans and suffered an 8-point defeat.

U Mumba missed the services of their lead raider, Ajit Chouhan, who was injured in the previous match. This absence contributed to Mumba’s loss, while the Titans registered their third consecutive victory at their home ground.

In the second match, UP Yoddhas faced Puneri Paltan. After suffering a one-sided loss in their previous game, Puneri looked like a completely different team today, as if their match against the Pirates had never happened. They defeated the Yoddhas by 9 points and regained the top spot.

The day was packed with thrilling moments that left fans on the edge of their seats. On that note, let’s take a look at the top five moments from Day 13 of PKL 12:

5. Gagan Gowda’s Super 10

UP Yoddhas didn’t have their best day today, and none of their players delivered standout performances. However, Gagan Gowda managed to score yet another super 10, his third of the season. He picked up 12 raid points, emerging as the Yoddhas’ top scorer.

But 8 of those points came from bonus attempts, with only 4 touch points to his name, a factor that contributed to UP falling behind in the contest.

While Gagan’s efforts were commendable, they weren’t enough to secure a win for the Yoddhas, and their fans will be hoping for even stronger performances from him in upcoming matches.

4. Sunil Malik’s High 5

U Mumba had a tough outing today. With Ajit Chouhan missing out, their raiding department was already weakened, and their struggles deepened as their defensive performance fell short. However, there was one positive spot for the team, captain Sunil.

He registered his first High 5 of the season, scoring 6 tackle points, including a super tackle. Remarkably, Sunil contributed 6 of U Mumba’s total 9 tackle points. Despite his incredible effort, it wasn’t enough to secure a victory for the team.

3. Gaurav Khatri’s High 5

Puneri Paltan’s right corner was in top form today. After a poor outing in the last game, Gaurav was substituted in during the second half and came in with a point to prove, and he did exactly that.

He scored his second High 5 of the season, remaining unbeaten throughout the match. Gaurav was a rock in defence, guarding Paltan’s backline like a sword and playing a crucial role in securing yet another victory for the team.

2. Bharat Hooda’s Super 10

Bharat is thriving at Telugu Titans and loving his new role. He scored his second Super 10 of the season, scoring 13 raid points to help his team to their third consecutive victory after a slow start with two early losses.

UP Yoddhas released Bharat before the auctions, and with this stellar performance, he’s making a strong statement. It may have been a mistake to let him go, and his value is proving to be even higher than expected.

1. Star duo of Pankaj and Aditya

Puneri Paltan secured yet another convincing win today, climbing back to the top of the points table. The stars of the match for them were Aditya Shinde and Pankaj Mohite, both delivering brilliant Super 10s.

Aditya scored his third Super 10 of the season, continuing to lead Puneri Paltan’s raiding charts, while Pankaj notched up his first Super 10 of the campaign.

Their combined efforts made Pune’s victory look effortless, and the team will be hoping for similar performances from their dynamic duo in the upcoming matches ahead.
