PKL 12: Top five best moments from Day 15 matches

Dabang Delhi holds the top spot at the end of Day 15 of PKL 12.

Two southern teams emerged victorious on Day 15 of Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12). In the first match, Bengaluru Bulls registered yet another win, defeating Jaipur Pink Panthers by a margin of 5 points. Deepak Sankar and Alireza Mirzaian were once again the heroes for the Bulls.

While in the second match, Tamil Thalaivas dominated the contest, defeating Bengal Warriorz by 10 points. Nothing has gone well for the Warriorz after their opening match. On the other hand, the newly appointed captain of the Thalaivas, Arjun Deshwal, notched up 17 raid points, leading his team to a brilliant victory.

The day was packed with thrilling moments that left fans on the edge of their seats. On that note, let’s take a look at the top five moments from Day 15 of PKL 12:

5. Nitin Dhankar’s off day

Bengaluru Bulls came well-prepared for the Jaipur Pink Panthers challenge and successfully managed to stop the storm of Nitin Dhankar. Coming into this match, Nitin had scored four Super 10s in four games, showcasing his dominance and consistency.

But today, the Bulls restricted him to just 8 raid points while forcing 6 unsuccessful raids. Their ability to stop Dhankar proved to be the key reason behind their victory in Jaipur, as the Panthers lacked a backup plan with little contribution from their other raiders.

4. Alireza’s Brilliance

Bengaluru Bulls, once known for legendary Indian raiders like Ajay Thakur, Rohit Kumar, and Pawan Sehrawat, now have another star emerging, this time an Iranian. Alireza is proving to be the new superstar of their raiding unit.

Once again today, he stepped up as the lead raider, guiding the Bulls to victory in a low-scoring thriller with 8 crucial points. He struck at the important moments, ensuring Bengaluru never gave Jaipur Pink Panthers a chance to make a comeback.

3. Deepak Sankar’s High 5

Deepak Sankar, a NYP for Bengaluru Bulls, was handed the tough responsibility of guarding the left corner, and so far, he has been executing it brilliantly.

Today, he notched up his second High 5 of the season, scoring 5 tackle points against the Panthers, which also included 2 incredible super tackles. His solid performance played a crucial role in helping the Bulls secure their third consecutive win in a thrilling, low-scoring match.

2. Devank Dalal’s Super 10

Another day and another Super 10 for Devank Dalal, but unfortunately, another defeat for Bengal Warriorz. The Thalaivas’ defense kept him quiet in the first 10 minutes, inflicting an all-out on the Warriorz.

However, Devank bounced back strongly, picking up his speed and securing yet another Super 10 with 13 raid points. Despite his best efforts to stage a comeback, the lack of support from his teammates meant Bengal Warriorz suffered their 4th consecutive loss.

1. Arjun Deshwal’s Super 10

With Pawan Sehrawat missing out due to some reasons, the Tamil Thalaivas turned to Arjun Deshwal to be the captain of the side. Arjun stepped up in the best possible way. He looked calm, focused, and determined from the very first raid, never allowing Bengal Warriorz defenders to settle.

His consistency kept the scoreboard ticking. Arjun registered his third Super 10 of the season, finishing with 17 raid points. He led from the front, setting an example, controlling the pace of the game, and ensuring the Thalaivas walked away with a much-needed victory.
