PKL 12: Top five best moments from Day 16 matches

Puneri Paltan holds the top spot at the end of Day 16 of PKL 12.

The 16th day of Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12) started with a clash between UP Yoddhas and the home team, Jaipur Pink Panthers. UP were completely outplayed by the Panthers, with the hosts winning by 12 points. The top performers for Jaipur were Nitin Dhankar and Ali Samadi.

In the second match, Puneri Paltan faced Telugu Titans. The Titans came into the game on the back of a three-match winning streak, but Paltan put up a valiant performance and won by 6 points, thanks to their strong defence. Gaurav Khatri and Vishal Bhardwaj picked up High 5s and led the team to victory.

The day was filled with incredible performances and moments. On that note, let’s take a look at the top five moments from Day 16 of PKL 12:

5. Bharat Hooda’s Super 10

Telugu Titans didn’t have a great day, as they suffered a 6-point loss to the Paltan. However, Bharat turned out to be their standout performer, registering yet another Super 10, his 3rd of the season.

He scored 11 raid points and added 1 tackle point, trying his best to keep the Titans alive in the match. Unfortunately, with minimal support from his teammates, his efforts weren’t enough to secure a win.

4. Gagan Gowda’s Super 10

Gagan Gowda dropped a masterclass again, but UP Yoddhas suffer yet another loss. He notched up 16 raid points with only one unsuccessful raid throughout the match.

It was his 4th Super 10 of the season, but his efforts weren’t enough to secure victory for the Yoddhas, and they lost by 12 points. He had no support from his teammates as he scored 16 out of the team’s 29 points, more than 50% of the total.

3. Nitin Dhankar’s Super 10

After a silent game in the last match, Nitin made a strong comeback today, scoring yet another Super 10, his 5th of the season. He picked up 11 raid points against the UP Yoddhas and guided the Jaipur Pink Panthers to victory.

He was well supported by Ali Samadi, who scored 9 raid points and kept picking up important points whenever Nitin wasn’t able to score in the first half.

This was their 3rd win of the season and their first on the home leg. Nitin has been the biggest contributor in all their wins, and fans will be hoping he continues this form in the upcoming matches.

2. Vishal Bharadwaj’s High 5

Vishal Bhardwaj, who went unsold last season, was given a second chance by Puneri Paltan in this year’s auction, and he is repaying their faith. Tonight, he put on a show in defense, scoring his 2nd High 5 of the season with 6 tackle points against the Titans.

He stood like a wall throughout the match and made only one failed attempt. His brilliant performance was the reason Puneri Paltan went home with another 2 points in the bag.

1. Gaurav Khatri’s High 5

Gaurav Khatri is in red-hot form right now, and he is leading the charts of top defenders this season with his consistent performance. Today, once again, he put on a brilliant show against the Titans, totally dominating them and scoring his 3rd High 5 of the season.

He scored 7 tackle points, including a brilliant super tackle, and made only 2 unsuccessful attempts. He dominated throughout the match and secured yet another win for the Puneri. The team and fans will be expecting him to play just like this in the upcoming matches.
