The recently concluded Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12) saw everything from memorable raiding to impressive defence. There was no shortage of exciting matches, and the players maintained the quality of Kabaddi throughout the long and tough session.

Young players in particular made the most of their opportunities. These New Young Players (NYP) proved that they are meant for the big stage and will dominate the league in years to come.

Seeing their performance, PKL fans are confident that the competition will remain competitive in the upcoming campaigns.

Keeping the focus on the young players who showed their class, let’s take a look at the top 10 best New Young Players of PKL 12:

Ganesha H. – Bengaluru Bulls

Bengaluru Bulls were the surprise package of the season. Ganesha H., an exciting raider, scored 35 raid points for the outfit in his debut PKL season, including two Super Raids too.

Ankit Dahiya – Gujarat Giants

Gujarat Giants‘ Ankit Dahiya impressed with his quality and smart tackling. The youngster scored 25 tackle points in 11 matches and also showed his ability in raiding, with 18 raid points to his name.

Manprit – Bengal Warriorz

Bengal Warriorz‘s Manprit was one of the most promising raiders of PKL 12. He played 16 matches and scored 49 raid points. During the process, he scored a Super Raid and a Super 10 each.

Avi Duhan – Telugu Titans

Avi Duhan played for Telugu Titans in Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 and won hearts with his brilliant defensive tactics. Showing maturity beyond his years, the defender scored 29 tackle points in 20 matches and also managed three Super Tackles.

Ankit Rana – Patna Pirates

Ankit Rana was one of the many young players who helped Patna Pirates reach the final stages of the competition. The young raider played 20 matches and scored 77 raid points for the outfit, which included three Super 10s.

Deepanshu Khatri – Jaipur Pink Panthers

Deepanshu Khatri showed why he is one to watch out for in the coming years, thanks to his brilliant defensive skills for the Jaipur Pink Panthers.

He played 19 matches, which included three Super Tackles and two High 5s, amassing 42 tackle points in the process.

Aashish Malik – Bengaluru Bulls

Aashish Malik played 18 matches for the Bengaluru Bulls in a positive debut season in the Pro Kabaddi League. The electrifying raider scored 83 raid points and also contributed in defence, which included six tackle points. 

Aryan Kumar – Jaipur Pink Panthers

Jaipur Pink Panthers provided a platform to plenty of youngsters in PKL 12, a smart decision that saw figures like Aryan Kumar showcase their quality.

The defender played 19 matches and scored 50 tackle points. He recorded four Super Tackles in that period, showing why the defence of the Pink Panthers is in safe hands.

Ali Samadi – Jaipur Pink Panthers

Ali Samadi was one of the best-performing overseas players in the 12th edition of the Pro Kabaddi League. His raiding for the Jaipur Pink Panthers took the league by storm and gave the PKL another foreign star. In his debut PKL term, he scored 121 raid points in 19 outings.

Deepak Sankar – Bengaluru Bulls

Deepak Sankar was superb for Bengaluru Bulls and won the New Young Player of the season award. The defender added quality and stability to the Bulls’ defence, scoring 64 tackle points in 19 matches.
