PKL 12: Top 10 best players of Chennai leg

From experienced to young, many players performed brilliantly in the Chennai leg of PKL 12.
After 12 days and 24 matches, the third leg of Pro Kabaddi League 12 (PKL 12), the Chennai leg, has come to an end. It has been an incredible tournament so far, filled with thrilling encounters and dramatic moments.
Dabang Delhi once again emerged as the most dominant side of the Chennai leg, further strengthening their position at the top of the points table.
The Chennai leg had everything, from brilliant individual performances to edge-of-the-seat matches.
On that note, let’s take a look at the top 10 players from the Chennai leg of PKL 12.
10. Rakesh Sungroya
The Gujarat Giants haven’t had a great season so far, but they managed to register three wins during the Chennai leg, with Rakesh contributing the most to their success.
He scored 20 raid points against UP Yoddhas and 18 raid points against the Bengal Warriors. His brilliant efforts ensured that the Giants remain alive in the race for the playoffs.

9. Sandeep
In the absence of Ajit Chouhan, U Mumba found a new star in Sandeep. He took on the responsibility with confidence and scored raid points for fun.
Sandeep managed 47 raid points during the Chennai leg and played a crucial role in all of Mumba’s victories, scoring 12 raid points against the Tamil Thalaivas, 15 against the Gujarat Giants, and 13 against the Bengal Warriors.
8. Bharat Hooda

The Telugu Titans are having a fantastic season, much to the delight of their fans. Bharat, who was acquired by the Titans for ₹81 lakhs, has fully justified his price tag with his stellar performances this season.
During the Chennai leg, he scored 42 points in the three matches he played, including a brilliant 16 raid points and 4 tackle points against the Haryana Steelers. He also added 14 raid points against the UP Yoddhas.
His outstanding all round performance has been one of the key reasons the Titans are sitting comfortably in the top half of the points table.
7. Fazel Atrachali
Dabang Delhi are currently at the top of the table with 12 wins in 14 games, and one of the key contributors to their success has been the “Sultan” Fazel Atrachali.
He has been the best defender of the season for Dabang Delhi and was outstanding during the Chennai leg, scoring 18 tackle points in 6 matches.
He even produced a brilliant super raid in the tiebreaker against Haryana, securing a crucial win for Delhi. Fazel’s dominance in defence was one of the main reasons Delhi managed to win 5 out of the 6 games they played in the Chennai leg.
6. Aditya Shinde

Puneri Paltan won all four of their matches in the Chennai leg, and Aditya Shinde stood out as their top performer, showcasing brilliant form throughout. He scored 50 raid points in 4 matches, averaging 12.5 points per game.
With 3 Super 10s to his name, he led the raiding department for Puneri Paltan with confidence and consistency. His exceptional performances have been a key reason why Pune currently sit in 2nd place on the points table.
5. Ayan Lohchab
Patna Pirates are not having a great season, having won only three games so far. In the Chennai leg, they managed to secure just one victory, but Ayan once again stood out as their best performer, scoring 44 raid points in 3 games at an impressive average of 14.6 points per match.
He registered Super 10s in all the games he played and single-handedly carried Patna’s raiding department. Unfortunately, the lack of support from his teammates resulted in yet another disappointing leg for the Pirates.
4. Arjun Deshwal

The home team, Tamil Thalaivas, won 2 out of their 4 matches in the Chennai leg. They received an immense reception from the Chennai fans, with every point from the Thalaivas being cheered loudly, especially those scored by Arjun Deshwal.
He was in brilliant form once again, scoring 59 raid points in 4 matches, including 22 against the Haryana Steelers and 26 against the Patna Pirates. His outstanding performances have kept the Thalaivas alive in the race for the playoffs.
3. Jaideep Dahiya
Haryana Steelers are going through a rough patch, having lost all five of their matches in the Chennai leg. They were looking strong earlier in the season, but these consecutive defeats have completely changed their campaign scenario.
However, captain Jaideep Dahiya continued to lead from the front, scoring 18 tackle points in 5 games with 2 high 5s. Unfortunately, he received minimal support from his teammates, resulting in a string of disappointing losses for the team.
2. Nitesh
Nitesh is currently at the top of the list of leading defenders this season. In the home leg for the Thalaivas, he scored 18 tackle points in just 4 games, averaging 4.5 tackle points per match.
He registered high 5s in two games and 4 tackle points in the other two. His consistent performances have been the main reason the Thalaivas remain alive in the race for the playoffs.
1. Devank Dalal

Bengal Warriorz are not having the season they had hoped for, but Devank Dalal continues to top the charts as one of the leading raid scorers. He has registered Super 10s in every game he has played so far, an incredible feat. In the Chennai leg, Bengal struggled once again, winning only 1 out of 4 matches.
However, Devank Dalal was brilliant throughout, scoring 76 raid points in just 4 games. He single-handedly carried the raiding department for the Warriorz, receiving minimal support from his teammates.
