PKL 12: Top five best players of Dabang Delhi in Pro Kabaddi 2025

Dabang Delhi have built a strong team on paper for PKL 12.

Dabang Delhi are one of the favourites for the Pro Kabaddi League 12 title, judging by their activity in the auction. The outfit missed out on the trophy last term, narrowly after losing in the semi-final stage. There were more positives to take away from season 11 for the side, as they secured a 15-match unbeaten run in the league, a record in the competition.

Stepping into the next season, Dabang Delhi have a new look squad with plenty of fresh faces. The outfit has bet on experience in key areas and retained their best performers from the previous season. The outfit used the Final Bid Match (FBM) card at the PKL 12 auction to retain Ashu Malik for two seasons for a whopping INR 1.90 crore.

Apart from this, the team also bought experienced defenders like Fazel Atrachali and Surjeet Singh, who know how to take the team out of difficult situations. With Dabang Delhi having built a formidable squad for the upcoming season, let’s take a look at their top five best players for PKL 12.

Amir Hossein Bastami

Dabang Delhi bought Amir Hossein Bastami for Rs 30 lakh in the auction. The defender adds foreign flavour and depth to the defensive department and looks to be a smart buy.

He played 22 matches for Tamil Thalaiavas and scored 51 points for the outfit last season. If the Iranian improves on his season 11 performance, then it will certainly help Delhi’s title ambitions.

Surjeet Singh

Surjeet Singh is a veteran player who brings much experience to the team. He has been part of the league since season three. While losing Yogesh in the auction is a setback for Dabang Delhi, having Surjeet’s expertise will benefit the rest of the defence brigade. Furthermore, Singh is the second-highest scoring defender in the history of the PKL with 443 points.

Ajinkya Pawar

Ajinkya Pawar could be a masterstroke purchase by Dabang Delhi ahead of the 12th edition of the Pro Kabaddi League. His main role will be to assist Ashu Malik in raiding.

Although his performance in Season 11 was mediocre, his 141 and 133 points in Seasons 9 and 10, respectively, will give hope to Delhi fans.

Fazel Atrachali

Fazel Atrachali is a key addition to the Dabang Delhi squad ahead of the PKL 12 season. His inclusion can be the difference maker as the Iranian has 545 tackle points in 188 games, being the only defender to score more than 500 tackle points in the history of the PKL so far. Armed with experience and leadership skills, the opposing raiders will find it tough to snatch points against Delhi.

Ashu Malik

Retaining Ashu Malik was the smartest decision taken by Dabang Delhi at the PKL 12 auction. However, to get his services, they had to pay a whopping INR 1.90 crore.

Despite the costly figure, he has been their outright best performer in the last two campaigns, scoring 280 and 265 points in seasons 10 and 11, respectively. If Delhi have to win the trophy this year, then Ashu’s consistent performance becomes important for the team.
