PKL 12: Top five best overseas players of Pro Kabaddi 2025

The foreign talents impressed the crowd once again in the PKL 12.

Several foreign players once again impressed fans with their outstanding performances in the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12). Many foreign players came forward and shone for their respective franchises. These stars gave memorable moments to enjoy.

In each season, foreign players play a vital role and contribute significantly to lifting their respective PKL teams. In Season 12 as well, PKL fans saw some foreign players display their quality and make a lasting difference.

On that note, let’s take a look at the top five overseas players who amazed the fans in the PKL 12:

Reza Mirbagheri

Reza Mirbagheri, an important part of the Jaipur Pink Panthers, had a positive season in the 12th edition of the Pro Kabaddi League. The towering defender played 19 matches for the outfit, managing 44 points, his third-highest tally in the fourth year with the franchise.

While the fans had high hopes for Reza Mirbagheri after a stellar previous term, his performances were the silver lining in an otherwise gloomy season for the Pink Panthers.

Mohammadreza Shadloui

After two successful seasons, ‘Showstopper’ Mohammadreza Shadloui failed to reach the PKL 12 final. After winning the title in the last two PKL seasons, he was not able to lead the Gujarat Giants to the playoffs.

Having said that, Shadloui did not perform to his lofty standards. He managed only 65 points in 17 matches in Season 12. In contrast, he scored a whopping 139 points in the 11th season. Clearly, the INR 2.23 crore investment by the Giants did not lead to ideal returns.

Ali Samadi

Young raiding sensation Ali Samadi was the highlight of the tournament for the Jaipur Pink Panthers in the 12th season of the Pro Kabaddi League. His raiding kept the spectators on the edge of their seats.

The raider from Iran scored 126 points in his first-ever PKL campaign. The Pink Panthers paid INR 16.20L for Samadi, an investment which turned out to be smart in the end.

Alireza Mirzaian

Alireza Mirzaian of Iran took the Pro Kabaddi League by storm with his sensational performances for the Bengaluru Bulls. He scored 201 points for the outfit in 20 matches, helping them silence the critics and secure a place in the season-ending playoffs.

Season 12 of the PKL was a breakthrough campaign for Alireza Mirzaian, who played only nine matches and scored 16 points for U Mumba in season 10 of the competition. It will be interesting to see where the Asian Games silver medallist plays next season after an impressive term in the PKL.

Fazel Atrachali

‘Sultan’ Fazel Atrachali‘s leadership was immense for Dabang Delhi in their quest to win their second Pro Kabaddi League title. The Iranian defender has the most tackle points in PKL’s history. He showed why class remains permanent as he led the defence thanks to his experience.

Fazel became the most valuable player of Season 12 of the PKL. He also won his third title this season. His tackle in the last seconds of the final handed the trophy to Dabang Delhi.

Who is the top raider of PKL 12?

Ayan is the top raider with 316 raid points.

Who is the top defender of PKL 12?

Navdeep is the top defender with 73 tackle points.
