PKL 12: Did Manpreet Singh take a dig at Devank Dalal while praising Sunil Kumar?

Haryana Steelers registered their second consecutive win in PKL 12 by thrashing UP Yoddhas.
After a slow start in Pro Kabaddi League 12 (PKL 12), Haryana Steelers have found their rhythm. The defending champions secured their second win against the UP Yoddhas in a closely fought encounter in Vizag.
It was a well-planned team performance from the Steelers, with all the players making notable contributions. With this win, Haryana have entered the top five of the PKL 12 points table.
After the game, both teams’ head coaches and captains addressed the media.
Haryana Steelers
Thoughts on the game
Haryana Steelers head coach Manpreet Singh shared his thoughts on his side’s win and said, “We had come with a plan. In both of our previous matches, other teams took the lead early, and then we chipped away at the lead throughout the game. That’s why we came up with a plan and did not let them take the lead.”
“There is no lack of talent and skill for the UP Yoddhas. The good teams sometimes fall behind and then do well later. Initially, the team did not play as per the plan, but later the team worked on the same plan, and the result is in front of you,” he added.

Thoughts on defence
Manpreet further went on to praise his defenders and his captain for his leadership. He said, “Look, the defense has been playing the same way in the last two matches. Today our left corner performed well. Our captain has also done well, as you know, he was not 100% recovered in the first two matches. But today he was completely fit and he captained well.”
Dig at Devank Dalal while praising Sunil?
Manpreet Singh opened up about his bond with his players, especially with Sunil Kumar. He said, “Whatever Sunil has learnt from us or whatever we have learnt from Sunil, he is a very good person. He is a tiger on the ground. He wins matches on his own. Since I have come to Haryana, there are Jaideep, Rahul Sethpal, who also learn a lot and teach us too.
So thanks to Sunil for giving me so much respect, because you know how things are today. Thank you, Sunil aap pyaar karte ho, bakiyon ko bhi suddhi-buddhi de bhagwan (laughs),” he added. From this statement, it seems that Manpreet Singh has targeted Devank Dalal.
UP Yoddhas
What went wrong?
UP Yoddhas’ assistant coach Upendra Malik told the media about what went wrong in the game and said, “The game changed in the first half itself, when they made two super tackles on Bhavani, and from there some momentum shifted towards them.”
“Then we gave away points to Naveen, and then there was an all-out. We still had a two-point lead, but the second all-out happened very quickly, so that is the big mistake,” he added.
Thoughts on Puneri Paltan
Upendra Malik also shared his views on Puneri Paltan ahead of their next game and said, “Look, Puneri Paltan plays like a unit, so we have to take care of those things. They have good raiders, and our raiders are also good. So whichever team makes fewer mistakes will win.”
