Jaipur Pink Panthers registered their fifth win in PKL 12 by thrashing U Mumba.
Jaipur Pink Panthers secured their third win in a row after a hard-fought performance against U Mumba in the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12). Pink Panthers will consider themselves lucky as Mumba’s silly mistakes resulted in a huge advantage for Narender Redhu’s side.
Meanwhile, U Mumba will blame themselves for giving away two points to the home side. Nitin Dhankar and Deepanshu Khatri emerged as the heroes for Jaipur as they secured their third win at home.
After the game, representatives from both teams addressed the media.

Thoughts on the game
Jaipur Pink Panthers head coach Narender Redhu spoke about his thoughts on the game and said, “It was a good match in the beginning, and we had a lead of maybe 10 or 11 points. U Mumba have a great team, and their captain, Sunil Kumar, has good control. He runs the team with great control. They are a good team. There were moments where the defense kept making small mistakes, and from there the match went into their hands.”
On Tie-breaker
Redhu also opened up about his views on the tie breakers and said, “Tie-breaker is good. It is an opportunity to create a situation for the team, and that practice takes place, and viewers also enjoyed the thrilling action of it.”
“The focus remains on what will happen, and the audience has thoroughly enjoyed all the tie-breakers that happened so far, and that was the case today as well. Our team has won two tie breakers, one against Gujarat and one against U Mumba. It is good for the audience to watch, and they enjoy Kabaddi,” he added.
His own performance
Deepanshu Khatri opened up about his own performance and said, “Coach Sahab does not let any pressure come on the players at all. I gave away a lot of points, but still, Coach Sahab told me that there is no problem. Coach Sahab said, Do whatever you feel like; there is no problem. I applied that to Anil, and it happened. Coach Sahab does not let even 1% pressure come on us; otherwise, the players will get puzzled. We are playing without pressure, and that’s why our tackles are also becoming successful.”
Plans against Arjun Deshwal
The Pink Panthers will go up against their former skipper, Arjun Deshwal, in the next game. While speaking about the same, Redhu said, “Arjun is a superstar raider and he has a huge fan following here because he was here for four years. But I will come with a plan. We will not tell the plan, and we want whatever plan we make to be successful on the ground, and you will get to see a good match.”
U Mumba
Sandeep’s performance
U Mumba captain Sunil Kumar spoke about Sandeep’s performance and said, “From the beginning till the end, Sandeep took the match and kept it with us. He only made a mistake in the last raid, and since it was the last raid, anyone could have been caught. Otherwise, the match was ours, and it was a close match.”
