PKL 12: Key player battles to watch out for in Match 12, Haryana Steelers vs U Mumba

Haryana will have a tough challenge as U Mumba have dominated their opponents in PKL 12.

U Mumbai are entering this match after winning two consecutive matches and will be looking for a hat-trick of wins in the Pro Kabaddi League 12 (PKL 12). On the other hand, Haryana Steelers will be hoping to make a comeback after losing the opening match against Bengal Warriorz.

U Mumba will be looking to continue their momentum after winning against Telugu Titans in their second match. Meanwhile, the Haryana Steelers, who suffered a huge loss against Bengal, will be looking to bounce back stronger and hand U Mumba their first loss of the season.

On that note, let’s take a look at the key battles to watch out for between Haryana Steelers and U Mumba in PKL 12.

Sunil Kumar vs Shivam Patare

U Mumba‘s captain, Sunil Kumar, hasn’t quite impressed yet. He has only managed to score 2 points in two matches so far. His form is a bit of concern, and he will be looking to make a comeback under pressure in the third match. As the captain of U Mumba, he will be a crucial player.

One of the best cover defenders in the league, Sunil Kumar, can never be taken lightly, and if he finds his rhythm, Haryana’s raiders will find it difficult to break through.

On the other hand, Shivam Patare will be high on confidence after scoring a Super 10 in the last match against Bengal Warriorz. He would like to start from where he left off in the last match against Bengal.

He scored a whopping 17 points in the last match and showed his great talent, and even today, he can be a threat to U Mumba’s defence

Parvesh Bhainswal vs Vinay

Parvesh Bhainswal, a seasoned campaigner, will be another major threat to Haryana. Although he hasn’t performed up to his potential yet, he has still contributed to some valuable tackles for the team. The duo of Parvesh and Sunil will be the key to U Mumba’s success.

On the other hand, Vinay, who supported Shivam Patare really well, will be looking to do so in the second match. He scored 13 raid points, and this time he will give his best to win the match. Vinay was also in Haryana last season and played a vital role along with Shivam Patare.

Ajit Chouhan vs Jaideep Dahiya

U Mumba’s raiding prowess has been dependent on Ajit. He has played a huge role in U Mumba’s victories by scoring 16 points in both matches.

Ajit will once again be the key for U Mumba’s raiding department. After narrowly missing a Super 10, he will be aiming to get the Super 10 in the third match. If Haryana wants to win the match, then they will have to keep Ajit out of the mat most of the time.

On the other hand, the captain of Haryana Steelers, Jaideep, will be looking to perform better after a bad outing in game 1.

In the absence of Shadloui, it’s the duty of Jaideep to keep the defence running, and he will be looking to get back in form after failing to score a single tackle point in the last match. Moreover, the left cover can stop Ajit from scoring points.
