PKL 12: Key player battles to watch out for in Match 23, Dabang Delhi vs Bengal Warriorz

Dabang Delhi will look to continue their unbeaten run in PKL 12 against Bengal Warriorz.

Dabang Delhi have had a fantastic start to Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12), with three successive wins under their belt. They are currently in third position and are looking invincible with their experienced lineup.

In their fourth match, they will face a young and less experienced side of Bengal Warriorz. These teams will play each other on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, where Dabang Delhi will try to keep their winning streak alive. On the other hand, Bengal Warriorz will be looking for a comeback after consecutive defeats.

Bengal Warriorz’s key player has been Devank Dalal without a doubt. He has scored three back-to-back Super 10s; however, a lone wolf can only win matches for his team, not a tournament. None of the other players has been consistent until now and has struggled with rhythm.

On the other hand, Dabang Delhi are having a dream run. Not only are they playing well, but they are also riding the best luck they can ask for. After winning the first match convincingly, Delhi won the second match in the “Golden Raid”, while they won the last clash due to a silly mistake by Nitin Dhankar.

On that note, let’s take a look at the key battles to watch out for between Dabang Delhi and Bengal Warriorz in PKL 12.

Manprit vs Saurabh Nandal

Manprit shone brilliantly in the first match of the season, and that is the only one Bengal Warriorz won. The reason is that Devank Dalal got the right support from him, which kept the flow going and the points flowing in their favour. In the next 2 matches, Manprit hasn’t been able to score points and get revivals.

In 3 matches, Manprit has just 17 points, including a Super 10. If the Warriorz need to get back to their winning ways, then Manprit has to extract points and revivals for the team.

On the other hand, Saurabh Nandal has been in tremendous form this year. He hasn’t got any High 5s or scored a lot of points in a single match, but Nandal has been extremely consistent this year.

He has scored 9 tackle points in three matches and has contributed well in every single outing. If he can continue with his consistency, he will make it a lot easier for his raiding department in the upcoming clash.

Ashu Malik vs Ashish Malik

Just like Devank Dalal, Ashu Malik is a one-man army for Dabang Delhi‘s raiding department. He has been tremendous yet again for the Dabang and has scored 45 raid points, including three Super 10s. His dominance was also seen in the last match, where he scored 21 out of 36 points for his team.

Malik will once again be in the limelight on Tuesday when they face the Warriorz. He is looking unstoppable, just like Devank.

On the other hand, Ashish Malik is someone who has shown immense promise in Bengal Warriorz’s defence. Malik was on the Dabang Delhi team last year, and this might help him against Ashu. Ashish has scored 2 High 5s in 3 matches and will be the prime defender to restrict Ashu from getting big points.

If he can continue his form and keep Dabang’s attack under check, he might get Warriorz back to the winning streak once again.

Devank Dalal vs Fazel Atrachali

Fazel Atrachali will be stepping out against his former franchise. Who better than the most successful defender in PKL history to keep the current most lethal raider controlled?

Devank has been tremendous yet again this season. He scored 51 raid points, including three Super 10s, so far. His lowest score came in the last match, where he scored 13 points, which is a good score for any other raider.

Stopping Devank can seal the win for Dabang Delhi. Fazel Atrachali is one of the most experienced defenders in PKL.

Moreover, the inclusion of Surjeet, Sandeep, and Saurabh makes Delhi’s defence very prominent. It looks like this is one of the few teams that can stop Devank in this PKL. Atrachali has scored 9 tackle points in three matches, including a High 5, which came in a very close encounter.

On paper, Dabang Delhi looks like a stronger side, but can Devank and company bend the ways and defeat the undefeated team on Tuesday?
