PKL 12: Key player battles to watch out for in Match 30, Tamil Thalaivas vs Bengal Warriorz

The Thalaivas and Warriorz could register only one win in the Vizag leg.
After the blockbuster Vizag leg, the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12) caravan now moves to Jaipur, as week 3 gets underway. In the second match of day 15, Tamil Thalaivas will face Bengal Warrioz.
Both teams are struggling this season and find themselves in the bottom half of the points table, with the latter being at the bottom. Tamil Thalaivas have lost their last encounter against Gujarat Giants and will be looking for a better all-round performance from the players.
On the other hand, Bengal’s over-reliance on Devank Dalal continues to hurt them as the other players haven’t been performing well. They lost to Dabang Delhi in a one-sided fashion, and after that match, they would want to learn from their mistakes
On that note, let’s take a look at the key battles to watch out for between the Tamil Thalaivas and Bengal Warriorz in PKL 12.
Arjun Deshwal vs Aashish Malik
Arjun Deshwal has been the best raider for Tamil Thalaivas this season. He had a quiet last match, scoring 6 points. This time, he will look to deliver a match-winning performance. If Arjun finds his rhythm, then he will single-handedly take the game from the opposition.
On the other hand, Aashish Malik is the best defender of Bengal this season. He will be looking to stop Arjun. He has scored 11 points in 4 matches, and this time he will aim for a high five against Tamil. A solid defensive performance from him can swing the game in Bengal’s favour.
Nitesh Kumar vs Devank Dalal
Nitesh Kumar has been in great form. He scored 11 points in 3 matches, scoring 4 points in the last game. He will be looking to keep the momentum.
His consistency is his biggest strength, and the only one who can stop Devank in this match. He will be a threat to the opposition team and play a vital role in the encounter.
On the other hand, Devank Dalal has been in a monstrous form this season. He will be looking to get his team to the finish line.
He has scored 63 points in 4 matches, with 12 points in the last game. Devank is a huge headache for all the opposition, as the raider of his calibre will always be a threat and needs to be stopped by the defenders.
Aashish vs Vishwas S
Apart from Nitesh Kumar, other defenders of the Thaliavas have not been performing consistently for the team. Aashish has scored just 7 points in 3 matches and will be looking to provide better support to Nitesh and the team. The left cover will look to stop the Bengal raider and pave the way for Tamil Thalaivas to win
Similarly, Bengal raiders are also struggling to find support for Devank. Apart from Devank, none have performed well.
However, in the last match, there was a silver lining in Vishwas, who scored 9 points against Delhi, and whenever Devank was out of the mat, he got the points for Bengal Warriorz. Bengal would be hoping that Vishwas will perform consistently like this.
