PKL 12: Key player battles to watch out for in Match 32, Puneri Paltan vs Telugu Titans

Both teams would want to start their Jaipur leg with a win.

The second match on Day 16 of Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12) will be played between Puneri Paltan and Telugu Titans. It will be the battle between the two captains, Aslam Inamdar and Vijay Malik.

After back-to-back losses, Puneri Paltan bounced back in style against UP Yoddhas to register their fourth win of the season. They will be looking for their fifth win to move to the top of the table.

On the other hand, Telugu Titans will be looking for their fourth consecutive win. After losing their first two matches, the Titans are on a roll here, as they have won the next three games.

In their last contest, they dismantled U Mumba to complete the hat-trick of wins. They will be looking to extend their unbeaten run against a strong Pune side.

On that note, let’s take a look at the key battles to watch out for between the Puneri Paltan and Telugu Titans in PKL 12.

Gaurav Khatri vs Vijay Malik

Gaurav Khatri has scored 19 points in 6 matches and is the standout defender for Puneri Paltan. He scored a high five in the last game, and he is the most successful defender of the season so far. He is the backbone of Pune’s defence and will be looking to stop Telugu Titans raider, especially in-form Vijay Malik.

On the other hand, the captain of Telugu Titans, Vijay, will look to deliver another match-winning performance.

He is the key player of the Titans and will be looking to stop Pune’s best defender, Gaurav Khatri. Vijay is in tremendous form, having scored 42 points in 5 matches.

Aditya Shinde vs Ajit Pawar

Young star Aditya Shinde has been the best raider for Puneri Paltan so far. He has scored 48 raid points in 6 matches. In the last game, Aditya scored a brilliant super 10, scoring 12 points, and played a pivotal role against UP.

Once again, the raiding opportunity will be on his shoulder, and he will play a crucial role in stopping the Telugu Titans

To stop him, Telugu Titans will be relying on their best defender of the season, Ajit Pawar. He has scored 11 points in 5 matches and will be looking to stabilise Telugu’s defence. His presence is crucial for Telugu Titans as he can stop Pune’s raider.

Gurdeep vs Bharat Hooda

The second-best defender for Puneri Paltan, Gurdeep, will also pose a threat to Telugu Titans raiders. He has scored 15 points in 6 matches. However, he looked off-colour in the last game and will be looking to do well against Telugu.

On the other hand, Bharat Hooda continues with his great form this season. After a poor performance last season, Bharat is on the comeback trail. He scored 40 points in 5 matches.

He is providing crucial support to Vijay Malik, and the duo is a threat to the opposition defence. Bharat will be once again looking to deliver for the Titans.
