PKL 12: Key player battles to watch out for in Match 42, Tamil Thalaivas vs Telugu Titans

Day 21 of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12) will witness a much-anticipated Southern Derby between Telugu Titans and Tamil Thalaivas. This match will be a blockbuster; both teams will face each other for the second time this season.
When the two teams last faced each other, Tamil Thalaivas defeated Telugu Titans in the opening encounter. Since then, there have been certain changes in the Thalaivas squad, and they will be hoping for a double victory against the Telugu Titans.
Both teams had a contrasting last encounter. Tamil Thalaivas triumphed over Bengaluru Bulls. On the other hand, Telugu Titans lost their previous three matches. Titans will be looking to exact revenge and return to winning ways.

Ajit Pawar vs Arjun Deshwal
Telugu Titans’ best defender, Ajit Pawar, showcased a strong performance against Dabang Delhi in the last match. He scored 4 tackle points and was the pillar of Telugu’s defence. Titans will expect something similar from him in this match as well, as he is the backbone of Telugu’s defence.
On the other hand, Arjun Deshwal will be the man to watch out for in this match. He has been the best raider for Tamil Thalaivas this season.
Arjun scored 12 points when the two sides met in the season opener. He will be hoping for a similar kind of performance this time as well. If Telugu Titans want to win the match, they will need to stop Arjun from scoring points.
Bharat Hooda vs Ronak
Bharat has been using his raiding skills effectively and has been a consistent performer for Telugu Titans this season.
In the last encounter against Tamil Thalaivas, Bharat scored 9 points and missed out on a Super 10 by a whisker. This time, he will hope for a better performance and will want to lead his team towards the finish line.
On the other hand, young defender Ronak continues to impress. He is in tremendous form. He scored 4 tackle points against Bengaluru Bulls. He will be keen to replicate the same against Telugu Titans.
Shubham Shinde vs Narender Kandola
In the opening match, Shubham Shinde had a terrific night as he scored four tackle points against Tamil Thalaivas. After that, Shubham remained quiet and didn’t showcase his full potential.
Now, up against Tamil once again, Shubham will be looking to put up a better show and aim to be a hurdle in their path to victory.
On the other hand, Narender Kandola has been doing his role really well and has been providing great support to Arjun Deshwal. This time, Narender would like to do better than his last outing.
