PKL 12: Key player battles to watch out for in Match 49, Bengaluru Bulls vs UP Yoddhas

Bengaluru Bulls will look to maintain their winning momentum in PKL 12 against UP Yoddhas.

UP Yoddhas made a fantastic comeback against Tamil Thalaivas in their previous encounter in Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12), announcing themselves as a potential threat. After losing four consecutive matches, Yoddhas made a statement with a big win and have got themselves in the eighth position.

Yoddhas will face the in-form Bengaluru Bulls in their upcoming clash on September 25, 2025. The Bulls have been in impressive form this season and are placed fourth with five wins and four losses. After a terrible start to the season, the Bulls made a stunning comeback and won four consecutive matches.

Both teams are coming into this match after winning their previous encounter. This encounter will be an exciting one as both teams will battle it out for two crucial points. There is no doubt that the result will depend on who wins the following battles.

Gagan Gowda vs Deepak Sankar

If the Bulls want to restrict him, Deepak Sankar will have to play a crucial role in this upcoming clash. Sankar has gotten a lot of appreciation for his performance in his debut season. Moreover, he has been most successful with his ankle hold tackles, making him the prime defender to restrict Gagan Gowda.

Aashish Malik vs Ashu Singh

Alireza Mirzaian has been the find of the season for the Bulls. He has played tremendously and has become the Bulls’ main raider. Mirzaian has scored 73 raid points in 9 matches, including 5 Super 10s.

He has taken charge on time and has performed well so far. However, he isn’t unstoppable, and can be restricted with some solid defence.

Sumit will come into play right there. He has once again been fabulous for the Yoddhas and has scored 25 tackle points in 7 matches, including 3 High 5s. The captain will once again have to lead from the front and restrict the in-form raiders of the Bulls, especially Alireza.
