PKL 12: Key player battles to watch out for in Match 50, Dabang Delhi vs U Mumba

Dabang Delhi will look to get back to winning ways in PKL 12 against U Mumba.

The 50th match of Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12) is a clash of the champions. Season 8 champions Dabang Delhi will face Season 2 champions U Mumba in an intense battle. Both teams will aim to win this crucial match, as they faced narrow defeats in their last matches.

Dabang Delhi are placed second in the points table with 12 points, while U Mumba are in 7th place with 8 points. Patna Pirates broke Delhi’s six-match winning streak in the last match. On the other hand, U Mumba are coming after back-to-back defeats. Both teams will look to get back to winning ways.

On that note, let’s take a look at the key battles to watch out for between the Dabang Delhi and U Mumba in PKL 12.

Ashu Malik vs Sunil Kumar

The battle of the captains will be an eye-catcher in this match. The match will completely depend on how U Mumba‘s defence performs against Agent Ashu. Sunil Kumar can become a threat to him, as their head-to-head battles stand almost equal.

Ashu’s last two matches weren’t impressive; he scored just 8 points in 2 games. Ashu suffered a minor injury and wasn’t able to perform up to his potential. Dabang Delhi will hope that Ashu becomes fully fit. If he gets, Ashu will single-handedly take the game away from U Mumba.

On the other hand, Sunil Kumar is struggling with his performance this season. In 8 matches, he has only 14 tackle points, and in the previous game, he scored only 1 tackle point along with 5 unsuccessful tackles.

Sunil’s form will be a huge concern for U Mumba, as they would want their captain to perform well, and he will also hope for a strong defensive performance.

Fazel Atrachali vs Sandeep Kumar

Fazel Atrachali is having a good time in the defence. Fazel has 22 tackle points in 7 matches, which at this age is impressive. Sultan leads Delhi’s defensive unit, and he will look to stop the raiding forces of U Mumba.

Raiders would want to escape from his brilliant ankle-hold skills, and the Veteran will be hoping for another strong defensive performance. On the other hand, Sandeep Kumar had stepped up in the last match, in the absence of their key raider, Ajit Chouhan.

He scored a brilliant super 10 with 14 points. He will be hoping to replicate a similar performance against Dabang Delhi. The youngster will be a key player for U Mumba’s raiding department, and he will look to stop Fazel and Delhi’s defence.

Neeraj Narwal vs Rinku Sharma

Neeraj Narwal will look to provide good support to Ashu Malik, who will be crucial for Dabang Delhi. Since Ashu Malik is not fully fit, Neeraj will have a key responsibility on his shoulders, and he will look to deliver for Dabang Delhi. Neeraj will be looking for a fresh start after the mistake he made in the last match.

On the other hand, Rinku Sharma, the best defender of U Mumba, will look to deliver a strong defensive performance.

Rinku will play a key role in the defensive unit of U Mumba, and despite scoring 2 points in the last match, he will be a threat to Delhi’s raiders and can stop both Ashu and Neeraj with his defensive skills.
