PKL 12: Key player battles to watch out for in Match 52, Jaipur Pink Panthers vs Tamil Thalaivas

Jaipur Pink Panthers have played phenomenally throughout Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12). They proved that a team doesn’t need big names to win matches. Pink Panthers are on a winning streak. They would like to continue it against Tamil Thalaivas, whom they will face on Saturday, September 27, 2025.

On the other hand, Tamil Thalaivas are going through a rough phase. They are searching for a win desperately to get back on track.

Arjun Deshwal-led Thalaivas have been lacking in all departments, and this is clearly visible in their results. They have lost three consecutive matches and have dropped down to the eighth position. Both teams are in opposite form at the moment.

Narender Kandola vs Reza Mirbagheri

Tamil Thalaivas had massive expectations from Narender Kandola this season. Moreover, those expectations got even bigger after they released Pawan Sehrawat. However, Kandola hasn’t been able to capitalise on the opportunities.

Despite all that, he is one of the most important players of the team, and if he can support Arjun Deshwal, their team might look invincible. Kandola has scored just 19 raid points in 6 matches and 6 tackle points in defence.

These numbers are far from what he is capable of, and if the Thalaivas want to make a comeback, his performance must leap now. However, it won’t be very easy to find form against the Jaipur. The Pink Panthers’ most experienced defender, Reza Mirbagheri, is in stellar form.

He has been brilliant for them and has consistently dominated the opponent’s raiding unit. Mirbagheri has scored 17 tackle points in 8 matches, and will be a big challenge for Kandola in this contest.

Nitin Dhankhar vs Nitesh Kumar

Nitin Dhankhar has been spectacular for the Jaipur Pink Panthers this season. He has led the raiding unit superbly and is holding the raiding department almost alone.

Dhankhar has scored 106 raid points in 8 matches, including 7 Super 10s. He has looked unstoppable and is the most important key to defeating the Pink Panthers. If Tamil Thalaivas can restrict him from scoring points, they might get their long-lost win.

For that, Nitesh Kumar will have to step up once again. He has been the only defender in form for the Thalaivas, as he scored a fabulous High 5 in the last match. If Nitesh can once again dominate and restrict Nitin, he might get the team closer to a win.

Arjun Deshwal vs Aryan Kumar

This game will be a test for the young defender of the Pink Panthers. Arjun Deshwal is a right raider, and Aryan Kumar will challenge him in that position. If Aryan can stop Deshwal, he could be successful in helping his team win.

Deshwal is almost the lone warrior of the Thalaivas when it comes to the raiding unit. However, he is also not in his best form. He has scored 81 points in 8 matches, including 5 Super 10s. Deshwal struggled immensely in their last encounter, and now he will be against his former team.

The entire defensive unit of Jaipur Pink Panthers will have to come together to stop Deshwal. However, Aryan Kumar will be in the spotlight. Kumar has had a decent season until now. He has scored 14 tackle points in 7 matches. He replaced their captain, Nitin Rawal, in the left corner position.

If Aryan Kumar can extract his best game against the Thalaivas and keep Arjun Deshwal off-court for maximum time, he can make his case even stronger for that position.
