PKL 12: Key player battles to watch out for in Match 54, Dabang Delhi vs Haryana Steelers

Both teams will be looking to keep their winning momentum in PKL 12 going.

Dabang Delhi have showcased extraordinary performances in Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12). They are the only team with such a dominant record this season, having won all their matches except against the Patna Pirates. They are currently at the top of the table with seven wins out of eight games.

As we move to the third leg of the season, it will be interesting to see if Dabang Delhi can continue their magical run. Dabang Delhi will play their first match of the third leg pf PKL 12 against Haryana Steelers on Monday, September 29, 2025.

The defending champions, Haryana Steelers, are also on a magnificent run lately in PKL 12. They have won four consecutive matches as they step into the next leg of the season. The Steelers are currently in third position with six wins and two losses in eight matches.

Both teams are in great form, and this match is possibly going to be one of the closest matches this season, with the teams having settled combinations. Here are the three top player battles that will impact the result of the PKL 12 match.

Neeraj Narwal vs Rahul Sethpal

Neeraj Narwal has emerged as a strong supporting raider for Dabang Delhi in PKL 12. He has scored points on many crucial junctures of the matches to find revivals for his team. Ashu Malik needed just that to get his team in a strong position. Narwal has scored 40 raid points in 8 matches, including 2 super raids.

Narwal has to be restricted to exert pressure on Dabang Delhi. This responsibility has to be taken by Haryana Steelers’ vice captain, Rahul Sethpal. Sethpal has been tremendous on the right corner for the Steelers, and will have to keep it tight on the corner to block Dabang Delhi’s raiders. Sethpal has scored 22 tackle points, including a High 5, and 2 super tackles.

Shivam Patare vs Fazel Atrachali

Shivam Patare has been the consistent raider for Haryana Steelers. After the departure of Naveen Kumar due to injury, Shivam Patare has taken the responsibility and has done pretty well. Patare has scored 71 raid points, including 2 Super 10s, and 6 tackle points as well.

If Dabang Delhi can put a stop to Patare’s rhythm, Dabang Delhi can put Haryana Steelers under pressure. Talking about Dabang Delhi’s defence, Fazel Atrachali has been nothing less than phenomenal. Atrachali is in great form and has scored 26 tackle points, including 3 High 5s.

Ashu Malik vs Jaideep Dahiya

The battle of the captains. Ashu Malik has once again proved to be Dabang Delhi’s backbone. He had a couple of low-scoring matches, but he made a mammoth comeback in the previous match by scoring 23 points. In PKL 12, Malik has scored 106 raid points, including 6 Super 10s. If Ashu Malik continues his form, Haryana Steelers will have a lot to do in this upcoming match.

Haryana Steelers’ captain and their most successful defender this season, Jaideep Dahiya, will have to step forward yet again and take the responsibility. He has scored 24 tackle points in 8 matches, including 2 High 5s. Jaideep is in good form and has to continue his aggressive defensive work to restrict Ashu.

This is going to be the most crucial battle of the day, and the winner of this battle will certainly increase the winning chances of their respective teams.
