PKL 12: List of all vice-captains in Pro Kabaddi 2025

All the franchises have formed strong teams for PKL 12.

The Pro Kabaddi League 12 (PKL 12) is all set to showcase another exhilarating 2 months of Kabaddi action for the fans. The new season will begin on August 29, 2025, and the league stage will conclude in the last week of October.

PKL 11 turned out to be a more explosive season than expected, and Season 12 promises even more with some exciting changes to the rules and regulations. In addition to that, the team balance of each team looks stellar, which gives us high chances of having more close games and a quick-paced kabaddi.

As the PKL 12 approaches, all teams have started announcing their captains and vice-captains for the season. So far, five teams have announced their vice-captains for season 12, and here’s the list of them.

Patna Pirates: Deepak Singh

Patna Pirates have decided to name a defensive duo for their leadership. Ankit Jaglan remains the captain. On the other hand, the Pirates have appointed experienced Deepak Singh as the vice-captain.

Deepak also represented the Pirates last season and was one of their top defenders with 64 tackle points. He has been given a massive role ahead of Maninder Singh, who was another potential candidate for the role.

Tamil Thalaivas: Arjun Deshwal

One might say Arjun Deshwal could have been named as the captain of the Tamil Thalaivas. But being a successor to Pawan Sehrawat is no small thing. As Sehrawat has been named the captain of the team, the former Jaipur Pink Panthers’ captain, Arjun Deshwal, has been appointed as the vice-captain.

Arjun Deshwal has been one of the leading raiders in the last few seasons. He has also been a good leader, and in the upcoming season, he would like to work with Pawan to lead the Thalaivas to their maiden title.

Telugu Titans: Shubham Shinde

Telugu Titans have appointed the newly added defender, Shubham Shinde, as their vice-captain for the upcoming season.

Shinde was the captain of the Patna Pirates at the beginning of the previous season. However, he was later replaced by Ankit Jaglan, who continues to be the captain of the Pirates this season as well.

Shinde has good leadership experience. He will be crucial in the Telugu Titans setup this season. Shinde had performed impressively in the last couple of seasons, and it will be interesting to see how this leadership pair of an all-rounder and defender turns out.

UP Yoddhas: Ashu Singh

UP Yoddhas have appointed Ashu Singh as their vice-captain for PKL 12. The Yoddhas are another team that showed faith in two defenders to lead the team. Both Ashu Singh and the captain, Sumit Sangwan, have been a part of the Yoddhas since their debut in season 7.

Singh has been a crucial contributor throughout his career to the team, and he would like to continue his good performance in the upcoming season as well.

Haryana Steelers: Rahul Sethpal

Rahul Sethpal is a crucial member of Haryana Steelers. He led the team beautifully in the absence of Jaideep Dahiya in the previous season and will be ready for any such opportunity in the upcoming season as well.

Apart from leadership, Sethpal was also extremely skilled in defence. However, this season he will be without Shadloui at the second corner, therefore he will have to shoulder the responsibilities of the defence.

Jaipur Pink Panthers: Reza Mirbagheri

Reza Mirbagheri has been appointed as the vice-captain of Jaipur Pink Panthers. Reza became a Panther in Season 9, the year Jaipur lifted the championship, and has since been the spine of the team’s defense. His consistency, determination, and tactical presence have made him one of the most trusted and respected members of the squad.

Puneri Paltan: Pankaj Mohite

Pankaj Mohite has been appointed as the vice-captain of Puneri Paltan. Pankaj led the team in Season 11 in the absence of Aslam Inamdar. Now in PKL 12, he will guide the team alongside Aslam.

Bengaluru Bulls: Akash Shinde

Akash Shinde has been appointed as the vice-captain of Bengaluru Bulls. Akash played a key role in Puneri Paltan’s title win in season 10. Now he would like to do something similar for the Bulls this season.
