Gujarat Giants will lock horns with Haryana Steelers in match 33 of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12) at the Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium in Jaipur, on Monday, September 15.
The Giants are placed 11th in the PKL 2025 standings with two points and a score difference of -23 from five encounters, including one win and four losses. Meanwhile, the Haryana Steelers are placed eighth with four points from four matches. So far, they have won two contests and lost two. They have a score difference of -12.
They lost their previous encounter against Bengaluru Bulls by seven points, ending their Vizag leg on a poor note. Not only did they lose the match, but they also suffered a major blow when their star raider, Naveen Kumar, was injured.
Will Naveen Kumar play tonight?
Haryana Steelers raider Naveen Kumar suffered an injury against Bengaluru Bulls in the franchise’s last match in the Vizag leg. He picked up an injury on his left knee during a raid in the first half of the game. The star raider fell on his back, screaming in pain, and was later stretched off the mat.
Naveen has travelled with the squad to Jaipur as they gear up to begin their second leg of PKL 12 against Gujarat Giants on Monday. However, there is no update on his availability for the game. Also, in the last few days, he has not even been seen training.

Taking the injury into consideration, it is unlikely that the star raider would be fit to play today’s encounter. Haryana would look to ensure that Naveen is completely fit and won’t rush to play him, as we are just early in the PKL 12 season.
Thus, we conclude that Naveen won’t be in action tonight for Haryana Steelers when they take on the Gujarat Giants in their fifth encounter of the season.
