Aditya Shinde missed the Maharashtra Derby against U Mumba in PKL 12.

Puneri Paltan are all set to take on the defending champions Haryana Steelers in match 41 of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12) at the Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium in Jaipur on Friday, September 18.

The Season 10 champions head into this clash on the back of a victory over U Mumba in the Maharashtra Derby. They won the match convincingly with a 40-22 margin courtesy of Stuart Singh’s eight raid points (seven touch points and one bonus point). The other players also contributed to Pune’s easy win over Mumbai.

Puneri Paltan are placed atop the PKL 2025 standings with 12 points and a score difference of 55, courtesy of six wins and two losses from eight encounters. They are currently on a three-match winning streak and will look to extend the lead when they lock horns with Haryana.

On the other hand, the Steelers are fourth in the points table with eight points from six matches, including four wins and two losses. They have a score difference of two thus far in the ongoing edition of the Pro Kabaddi League.

Will Aditya Shinde play tonight?

Aditya Shinde missed Puneri Paltan’s previous match against U Mumba, as the raider failed to clear the fitness test. The franchise took to social media to confirm the same:

“Aditya will be rested today after not clearing the fitness test. The Paltan can’t wait to cheer him back on the mat soon.”

Speaking of his availability for the upcoming encounter, Aditya is unlikely to be match-fit for the match against Haryana Steelers. The team will ensure that their key raider clears the fitness test and won’t rush to get him back on the mat, with several matches remaining in the 12th edition of the Pro Kabaddi League.

Aditya Shinde has been a vital cog for Puneri Paltan, having earned 54 points (53 raid points and one tackle point) in seven matches this season. He has three Super 10s and two Super Raids to his name, and will be instrumental for the franchise as they look to repeat the Season 10 heroics.
