PKL 12: Will Aslam Inamdar play against U Mumba tonight?

Aslam Inamdar missed Puneri Paltan’s last two matches in PKL 12.

Season 10 champions Puneri Paltan are set to lock horns with U Mumba in match 72 of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12) on Wednesday, October 8, at the SDAT multi-purpose Indoor Stadium in Chennai.

U Mumba are placed fourth in the standings with 12 points and a score difference of 10 from 11 encounters, including six wins and five losses.

On the other hand, Puneri Paltan are second in the PKL 2025 points table with 18 points and a score difference of 61. They have registered nine wins and three losses from 11 encounters thus far in the ongoing edition of the Pro Kabaddi League.

Puneri missed the services of Aslam Inamdar during their last two Chennai leg encounters against the Bengaluru Bulls and the Jaipur Pink Panthers.

The match against the Bulls ended in a 29-29 draw, and Puneri defeated the Bengaluru-based franchise 6-4 in the tie-breaker. Meanwhile, the former PKL champions defeated two-time champions Jaipur 41-36 in their previous outing.

But, now the question is whether Aslam will be in action during the Maharashtra Derby? Let’s find out.

Will Aslam Inamdar play tonight?

Puneri Paltan captain Aslam Inamdar has missed two consecutive games against the Bulls and the Pink Panthers. The franchise had confirmed through a social media post that he was rested from this match due to illness.

Puneri Paltan head coach Ajay Thakur had confirmed that Aslam Inamdar is fully fit and will return for the clash against the Jaipur Pink Panthers. However, they decided to rest him and shared the news on social media.

“Aslam is fit and has been rested for today’s game,” the social media post read. Coach Ajay Thakur also confirmed that Aslam is 100% fit and will be in action against U Mumba.

With Aslam rested for two matches already, he is likely to return when Puneri Paltan take on U Mumba in their last Chennai leg encounter on Wednesday.

Aslam earned 47 points (36 raid points and 11 tackle points) from 10 matches thus far in the 12th edition of the Pro Kabaddi League. He has 1 Super Raid, one Super 10, and two Super Tackles so far this season.

Will Aslam Inamdar play against U Mumba tonight?

With Aslam rested for two matches already, he is likely to return against U Mumba on Wednesday.
