PKL 12: Three players Jaipur Pink Panthers should target in auction

Jaipur Pink Panthers performed decently in the Pro Kabaddi League‘s eleventh edition, after losing against UP Yoddhas in the playoffs and ended sixth in the standings. The team was captained by Arjun Deshwal, the Jaipur team’s MVP and standout raider.

Jaipur Pink Panthers’ failure in the playoffs was ultimately caused by their over-reliance on Arjun in the raiding department. There was a significant gap between him and the second raider. Jaipur have released their best raider and defender of the last season. Both Arjun and Ankush will be part of the auction table.

The raiding department will be Jaipur’s main worry; they want to invest in raiders to address their issue from the previous season. After releasing Ankush Rathee, they will be looking for a suitable replacement to strengthen their defensive unit.

3. Naveen Kumar

Naveen was a part of Dabang Delhi for six consecutive years and will now be in the auction. Naveen was the MVP of the Delhi team and had played a pivotal role in helping Delhi to win their maiden title in season 8.

Despite recent injury concerns, Naveen Kumar remains one of the most talented raiders in PKL history. If he can regain form and fitness, he could be one of the biggest steals of the auction for the Jaipur Pink Panthers. He can also turn a match in his favour single-handedly.

2. Devank Dalal

Devank was the standout raider of the last season. He scored 301 points in his debut season and went on to become the top scorer of the season. It was a surprising decision that Patna have released him, and he will be in the auction.

With Arjun Deshwal no longer in the squad and the team struggling with raiding consistency, Devank could be the ideal replacement. His ability to lead the attack makes him a perfect fit for Jaipur as they look to rebuild their raiding department

1. Nitin Rawal

The left corner of Bengaluru Bulls had a great season last year. He scored 74 tackle points in 22 matches, making him one of the best defenders in season 11, and he will be one of the hot picks on the auction table.

Jaipur Pink Panthers, who have released their left corner, Ankush Rathee, will be looking for a solid left corner, and Nitin Rawal will be the best choice for the role. Nitin also possesses an X factor with his ability to raid, which will provide versatility in the Jaipur squad.
