PKL 12: Puneri Paltan full squad list ft. Aslam Inamdar

PKL 10 champions, Puneri Paltan, finished eighth in the previous season.

The PKL 12 auction went well for Puneri Paltan. They made some crucial additions to their squad. Ajay Thakur has been promoted as the head coach of Puneri Paltan in PKL 12. He joined the Paltan’s coaching staff mid-season in PKL 11 and made a decent impression. The Arjuna Awardee led the Paltan’s management in the auction and created a balanced side to begin the proceedings for the upcoming season.

Puneri Paltan had an average Pro Kabaddi League 11. They started well but lost momentum in the middle of the season and were eliminated before the playoffs. However, they have taken some positives from last season and rectified their mistakes of the previous season through retention.

Apart from this, they also bought some talented players during the auction, which gave them a good opportunity to repeat the success of PKL 10.

Ajay Thakur’s Paltan have a good balance in all aspects. They have included 7 raiders, 9 defenders, and 3 strong all-rounders. Paltan retained strong raiders like Pankaj Mohite and Mohit Goyat along with the stellar all-rounder Aslam Inamdar.

Moreover, they were able to grab Sachin Tanwar in the auction, making it a strong attacking side. Puneri Paltan were also able to buy Gurdeep and Mohammad Nabibaksh, who will be two brilliant options to use in between the games.

They didn’t just focus on their attack. The Paltan made sure they had a strong defensive lineup as well. Thakur and company retained their best defender, Gaurav Khatri, and Abinesh Nadarajan. Not to ignore the young talent of Dadaso Pujari, who will once again roar for the Paltan. The management also used the FBM card to retain Mohammad Amaan.

It looks like Puneri Paltan have got all their bases covered. However, the important task in any team is to gel together and find the best combinations. Since some players have been playing together for a couple of seasons, their team looks quite impressive this season. On that note, let’s look at the full squad of Puneri Paltan for PKL 12.

Puneri Paltan will be a team to watch out for at PKL 12. Ajay Thakur had a good time last season when he joined the team for a short period. It will be interesting to see how he operates with all the spectacular players he accumulated in the auction.
