PKL 12: List of players released, retained by Puneri Paltan ahead of auction

Puneri Paltan finished 8th in the last season.

Puneri Paltan had an average season in the Pro Kabaddi League season 11. Despite a good start to their campaign, the team faltered when their captain, Aslam Inamdar, got injured. However, they failed to qualify for the playoffs.

Puneri Paltan have some positives which they would like to continue in the upcoming season. The Paltan have done a good job by retaining their most valuable players ahead of the auction. Puneri recently appointed a new head coach, Ajay Thakur, for the upcoming season, who also guided the team in the latter half of the previous season.

Paltan won 9, lost 10, and tied 3 of their 22 matches in PKL 11. Ajay Thakur’s Paltan have one of the best retention lists among the 12 teams, and they would be content with what they have going into the PKL 12 player auction. Here’s the list of players released and retained by Puneri Paltan ahead of the PKL season 12 auction.

List of retained players:

Elite Retained Players: Abinesh Nadarajan, Gaurav Khatri, Pankaj Mohite.

Retained Young Players: Aslam Mustafa Inamdar, Mohit Goyat, Dadaso Shivaji Pujari, Aditya Tushar Shinde.

List of released players:

Nitin R, Akash Shinde, Aryavardhan Navale, Sanket Sawant, Vaibhav Kamble, Tushar Dattaray Adhavade, Mohit, Ali Hadi, Aman, Mohammad Amaan, Vishal, Sourav, Amir Hassan Noroozi, V. Ajith Kumar.

Puneri Paltan’s previous team also had a lot of talent. However, due to some injuries and inconsistency, they finished in 8th place. Now, Ajay Thakur would want a much better result than that, and they have begun their upcoming journey on a good note with good retentions.

Moving on to the players’ auction, the management would want to accumulate strong contenders in their squad to make a stellar combination for the upcoming season.
