PKL 12: Remaining FBM cards of all 12 teams ahead of auction

The PKL 12 auction will take place on May 31 and June 1.
The excitement of the upcoming Pro Kabaddi League season has begun to thrive after the 12 teams announced their retention list. The next step is the auction, which will be held on May 31 and June 1, where some big names and several new talents will be up for bid.
83 players are retained in 3 categories among the 12 teams. 25 out of them are retained under the Elite Retained Players (ERP), whereas 23 are retained under the Retained Young Player (RYP), and 35 players are retained under the Existing New Young Player (ENYP). After retention, another way to hold on to the players is to use the FBM card in the auction.

What is an FBM card?
Final Bid Match (FBM Card) is a superpower that all the teams use on the auction day to reclaim the players who were part of their team in the previous season. The player can be reclaimed by using FBM by matching the final bid he will be sold in the auction.
However, there is an underlying condition. The number of FBM cards a team holds depends on the number of ERPs they have claimed. If a team has retained 6 players in the Elite category, they get 1 FBM. On the other hand, if they retain 5 Elite players, they get 2 FBMs, and if they have retained fewer than 5 Elite players, they get to use 3 FBM cards.
Let’s take a look at the number of FBM cards each team has left before the PKL 12 auction.
- Bengal Warriorz- 3 (ERPs=1)
- Bengaluru Bulls- 3 (ERPs=0)
- Dabang Delhi K.C.- 3 (ERPs=0)
- Gujarat Giants- 3 (ERPs=2)
- Haryana Steelers- 3 (ERPs=2)
- Jaipur Pink Panthers- 3 (ERPs=1)
- Patna Pirates- 3 (ERPs=2)
- Puneri Paltan- 3 (ERPs=3)
- Telugu Titans- 3 (ERPs=2)
- Tamil Thalaivas- 3 (ERPs=3)
- U Mumba- 3 (ERPs=4)
- UP Yoddhas- 2 (ERPs=5)
All teams except UP Yoddhas have retained fewer than 5 players; hence, they have 3 FBM cards in the auction. While the Yoddhas will have only 2 FBM cards, as they have retained 5 Elite players.
Pawan Sehrawat, Pardeep Narwal, Mohammadreza Shadloui, Ashu Malik, Naveen Kumar, and many more big names were released before the season 12 auction. It will be interesting to see how the teams use this crucial tool and on whom.
