PKL 12: Tamil Thalaivas release Pawan Sehrawat mid-season owing to disciplinary reasons

Pro Kabaddi League franchise Tamil Thalaivas have released their captain and star player, Pawan Sehrawat, from their squad for the remainder of the season. The franchise confirmed via a social media post on Saturday, September 13.
The Chennai-based franchise confirmed that Pawan Sehrawat has been sent back home due to poor discipline and failing to align with the team’s code of conduct.
“Pawan Sehrawat has been sent home and will not be a part of the squad for the remainder of the season owing to disciplinary reasons,” a statement from Tamil Thalaivas read.
“This decision has been made after due consideration and in alignment with the team’s code of conduct,” the statement added.

Tamil Thalaivas will be without the services of Pawan Sehrawat for the remainder of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12. Thalaivas roped in raider Pawan at the PKL 12 auction for ₹59.50 lakh, marking his return to the franchise. He was part of the team for PKL Season 9 but ended his campaign early due to a knee injury.
He ends his season with 22 points in three matches. The star Indian raider earned 19 touch points and three bonus points this season.
How Tamil Thalaivas fared so far in PKL 12?
Speaking of the Tamil Thalaivas campaign in PKL 12, they are currently placed sixth in the standings with four points from as many games. They have won and lost a couple of matches each, and have a score difference of one.
Tamil Thalaivas began the 12th edition of the Pro Kabaddi League with a 38-35 victory over Telugu Titans. They suffered a defeat against U Mumba by a 36-33 margin and lost 37-28 to Gujarat Giants in their following match.
In their latest encounter, they defeated Bengal Warriorz by 10 points, with the final score reading 46-36, helping the club jump four spots in the standings.
The Chennai-based franchise are all set to take on the Bengaluru Bulls in their upcoming match of PKL 12 on Tuesday, September 16. The clash will take place at the Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium in Jaipur.
