PKL 12: Manpreet Singh criticises Haryana Steelers players after their third consecutive defeat

Tamil Thalaivas registered their fifth win in PKL 12 by defeating Haryana Steelers.
Tamil Thalaivas pulled off an unthinkable result in front of their home fans. They defeated the defending champions, Haryana Steelers, by a huge margin in match 62 of Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12).
The Thalaivas came back from behind and surprised the Steelers to secure their fifth win of the season. Captain Arjun Deshwal was brilliant, scoring 22 raid points. On the other hand, Nitesh Kumar and Aashish racked up eight points.
After the match, representatives from both teams addressed the media.

Thoughts on the game
Haryana Steelers head coach Manpreet Singh opened up about his thoughts on the game and said, “I am doing my duty honestly. The team’s performance depends on players. They have to go and play inside. They also work hard. Our plan was also good, but we did not execute well, and it was our misfortune. Kabaddi is very different from other games.
“When your team is set and there is momentum going on, then you continue to win, but many times it happens that momentum is not created. We won four matches continuously in Jaipur and have lost three matches in a row here. Nobody wants to come here and lose, and everyone is trying their best. That’s the beauty of this game that sometimes you win, sometimes you lose,” he added.

Arjun Deshwal on his own performance
Tamil Thalaivas captain Arjun Deshwal spoke about his own performance and said, “I am happy after winning this match, and Haryana Steelers are a good team.”
“So, after defeating Haryana, the team has also got motivation. I was making mistakes, and the players were also demotivated. Coach sir motivated me, and today I got the result of that thing, and it was quite good,” he added.
On Fans Support
Deshwal also thanked all the fans for their support and said, “I am absolutely grateful to the fans for their love and support. I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart because this means a lot to me. We have seen this often in cricket, and now it has happened in our Kabaddi too. So it’s good for this sport.”
Many matches are left, so keep supporting like this, thank you to the fans, and we will come prepared in the future, and we will not let them down,” he added.
