PKL 12: Telugu Titans might release Pawan Sehrawat ahead of auction

Pawan Sehrawat’s performance last season was below average.
Hi-flyer Pawan Sehrawat is one of the biggest names in the history of the Pro Kabaddi League. With over 1300 raid points, he is counted among the best raiders in PKL history. However, Sehrawat’s recurrent injuries have been a big concern for him and the franchises he represented.
In the previous season, Sehrawat was unfit for nearly half of the season. Injuries have been a big setback in Pawan Sehrawat’s career. In season 9, Sehrawat got injured in the first match of the PKL 9 and didn’t play for the rest of the season due to his ACL injury.
The surgery became one of the reasons he was released by Tamil Thalaivas back then, and now the history might repeat itself. After an injury-prone season, Sehrawat might get dropped by Telugu Titans.
Pawan Sehrawat’s PKL 11 report card

The Hi-flyer had a stupendous beginning to the previous season when he scored 6 Super-10s in the first 9 matches. Unfortunately, he couldn’t continue the form after the injury. Sehrawat got injured in the 9th match and couldn’t participate for most of the season.

In PKL 11, he scored 129 raid points in 13 matches, including 8 Super-10s, and had a decent season, if we ignore the injury. However, this is not the case for the team management, as injuries become a big factor in this fast-paced game.
The Malik-Narwal duo came to the rescue
In the absence of Pawan Sehrawat, Telugu Titans have found a new leader among them. Vijay Malik put his foot forward when it was needed the most and led the troops magnificently. Malik and Ashish Narwal showed fabulous spirit and didn’t let the raiding department fail in the absence of Pawan Sehrawat.
The duo has given a ray of hope to the management with their partnership and is expected to become such a pair in the upcoming season.
Pawan Sehrawat’s name might not be in the Telugu Titans’ retention list due to recurring injuries. The team would want their best and fittest players to remain in the team, so that they have enough budget to buy high-priced players in the auction.
On the other hand, they will still have the option to go behind Sehrawat in the auction and get him at a better price. Should Telugu Titans retain Pawan Sehrawat or release him before the PKL 12 auction? Let’s know your thoughts in the comments section.
