PKL 12: Telugu Titans coach praises Vijay Malik after win over Bengal Warriorz

Vijay Malik, Bharat Hooda, and Ankit shine in Telugu Titans’ big win over Bengal Warriorz in PKL 12.

Telugu Titans secured their second consecutive win in Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12) by defeating the Bengal Warriorz in an entertaining clash. Titans played brilliantly and didn’t give the Warriorz any chance to go against them.

Devank Dalal did everything in his power and notched up 13 points in the process, but it just wasn’t meant to be for him and his side. With this win, the Titans have moved up in the points table.

After the game, representatives from both teams addressed the media.

Bengal Warriorz 

What went wrong?

Bengal Warriorz’s head coach, Naveen Kumar, told the media about what went wrong for his side and said, “Right now we are playing with two raiders because we wanted to strengthen our defense. The plan was to strengthen our defense, but the defence made mistakes, and then the pressure mounted on the raiders. We can also try three raiders. But in the next match, we will make a different plan.”

Pressure on Devank Dalal

When asked about the pressure on Devank Dalal to perform despite no support from his teammates, Naveen Kumar said, “If the team keeps losing match after match, then all the players will be under pressure. But according to me, a raider like Devank should not feel any pressure because he is an all-out raider.”

“Everyone knows that the Bengal Warriorz have bought him for a high price. So, there will be pressure on him in every match, but we will manage it, and he will also get support,” he added.

Thoughts on Dabang Delhi

Devank Dalal spoke about the next challenge against Dabang Delhi and said, “Their team is good and they are winning matches continuously. So we will make a different strategy and ensure that no more mistakes are made in the future because a victory is necessary for us.”

Thoughts on U Mumba

Telugu Titans head coach Krishan Kumar Hooda opened up about his thoughts on U Mumba ahead of their next game and said, “U Mumba’s team is good. The best among them is their captain. He is controlling the team. We defeated them last year as well, and whoever plays well will win. My team is no less than anyone else. Only time will tell, and I am sure that we are going to give a good performance in that match.”

Vijay Malik’s performance

Krishan Kumar Hooda also spoke about Vijay Malik’s performance and termed him as Gold. He said, “Vijay is gold, he gave a top performance and added glory to the team. He never plays for himself; he plays for the team. I have even told him about the mistakes that he had made. Vijay is a gold, then, now, and will remain in the future. He has also changed himself completely.”
