PKL 12: Top five best buys of Pro Kabaddi 2025

These players are performing well this season.

The Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12) ended, with Dabang Delhi lifting the trophy after defeating the Puneri Paltan in the final on Friday. The season was packed with entertainment, drama, and thrilling contests, keeping fans on the edge of their seats throughout.

Several players have made their mark on the tournament with exceptional performances in both raiding and defence. Teams showed faith in them during the auction, investing heavily in some, and those players proved their mettle with standout displays.

Meanwhile, several low-priced buys turned out to be hidden gems, outperforming expectations and showing that price doesn’t define potential.

Over the course of the tournament, we witnessed remarkable individual brilliance. On that note, let’s take a look at the top five buys from the PKL 12 auction who made a lasting impact this season.

Best buys of PKL 12-

5. Saurabh Nandal

Saurabh Nandal was acquired by Dabang Delhi in the PKL 12 auction for just ₹13 lakh and was entrusted with the crucial right corner position. The experienced defender, who had spent the previous five seasons with the Bengaluru Bulls, adapted seamlessly to his new environment and delivered consistent performances throughout the campaign.

He finished the season with 52 tackle points, the joint-highest for Delhi, and played a pivotal role in their title-winning run.

4. Alireza Mirzaian

Bengaluru Bulls bought Alireza Mirzaian in the auction for just 14 lakhs. He was part of U Mumba before and had only 16 points to his name in 9 games, but we saw a new Alireza emerging for the Bengaluru Bulls this season. He became the best raider of the team with 197 raid points.

People were skeptical of the team as the raiding lineup lacked experience, but Alireza proved everyone wrong and played a crucial role in the Bulls’ campaign. The Bulls finished 3rd on the points table even after a poor start to the season, and Alireza played a major role in that.

3. Fazel Atrachali

In one of the most unexpected twists of the PKL 12 auction, Dabang Delhi bought the Sultan of Kabaddi, Fazel Atrachali, for just ₹30 lakhs. But he showed that while he might be getting old, he is far from being finished. He scored 52 tackle points and played a massive role in Dabang Delhi’s success.

He even stepped up as a raider in the tiebreakers, winning it for Delhi. His crucial tackle in the final ensured the team’s victory, and congratulations to him for his incredible performance throughout the tournament. He was awarded the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the season.

2. Bharat Hooda

When Telugu Titans bought Bharat Hooda for ₹81 lakhs in the PKL 12 auction, many fans questioned the decision. But Bharat proved everyone wrong with his brilliant performances throughout the season. He scored 230 raid points and added 17 tackle points, showing his all-round ability.

His efforts led the Titans to the playoffs for the first time in seven seasons, giving their fans renewed hope. Although their journey ended in Qualifier 2 against Puneri Paltan, Bharat emerged as the Titans’ biggest star and hero this season.

1. Devank Dalal

Last season’s Raider of the Tournament, Devank Dalal, was picked up by the Bengal Warriorz for a massive ₹2.205 crore in the PKL 12 auction, and the franchise handed him the captaincy as well. Devank lived up to the expectations, continuing his stellar form by scoring 271 raid points in just 16 games, with an impressive average of almost 17 raid points per match.

He looked unstoppable throughout the season. Unfortunately, due to a lack of support, he failed to lead the Bengal to the playoffs.

Who is the top raider of PKL 12?

Ayan is the top raider with 316 raid points.

Who is the top defender of PKL 12?

Navdeep is the top defender with 73 tackle points.
