PKL 12: Top five foreign players available in auction

The Pro Kabaddi League season 12 auction (PKL 12) will be held on May 31 and June 1. This time, fans are very excited for the auction, because many big names will go under the hammer. As the auction approaches, teams have been busy strategising and rethinking their recruitment, preparing for the upcoming season.

The auction will feature several high-profile players, including domestic and foreign players. Ahead of the season 12 auction, many big names, including foreigners, have been released. Foreign players bring energy and experience to the PKL, and they have played a crucial role in the past for teams that went on to achieve success.

Amir Hossein Bastami

Amir Hossein Bastami will go under the hammer in the upcoming PKL 12 auction after being released by the Tamil Thalaivas. He was a mainstay in the defence for the outfit in the previous campaign, playing 22 matches and recording 51 points in the process.

Several PKL teams could be interested in acquiring his services for the new season, as the defender has shown glimpses of grit and determination.

Jang Kun Lee

Jang Kun Lee was employed by the Patna Pirates last season. He remained out of the field most of the time and got a chance to play only one match during the season. The South Korean raider will be available in the auction after being released by the three-time PKL winners. Any team looking to bolster its raiding department with experience and athleticism needs to look no further than Jang.

Mohammad Nabibakhsh

Gujarat Giants also released Mohammad Nabibakhsh as it plans to revamp the squad and rethink its recruitment strategy. The defender had a mediocre campaign last season, scoring 11 points in 15 matches.

No one can deny the quality he brings to the team. If he rekindles his form, then any team taking a bet on him would sign an experienced defender who can lead and motivate. 

Fazel Atrachali

Being the only defender to score more than 500 tackle points, Fazel Atrachali’s reputation precedes him. Whichever team manages to secure his services will have an edge over others. He is a natural leader and inspires his teammates to elevate their performances.

Bengal Warriorz‘s decision to release him was surprising, but it is beneficial for other PKL teams who will be vying to add him during the auction.

Mohammadreza Shadloui

Mohammadreza Shadloui has won the Pro Kabaddi League title in the last two seasons. He comes with a winning mentality and likes to perform well even under pressure.

He scored the most tackle points (82) in the 11th edition and played a key role in Haryana Steelers’ PKL triumph. There could be a bidding war for the Iranian powerhouse, and he could be sold for a record-breaking sum.
