The final group stage leg of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12) is currently underway at the Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium in Delhi, with 7 franchises battling it out for the remaining three spots in the revamped PKL playoffs format.

Puneri Paltan and Dabang Delhi have already secured a spot in the top 2, with 26 points each. Both franchises have 13 wins.

However, the PKL Season 10 champions are placed atop the standings with a score difference of 88, while the Delhi have a score difference of 73.

With all teams still in contention to qualify for the PKL playoffs and play-in, the last few match-days of PKL 2025 are expected to produce some closely fought and thrilling encounters. On that note, let’s take a look at when the play-in matches will be played.

New Format ‘Play-ins’ explained

PKL 12 brings an exciting twist with a redesigned playoff format featuring a new play-in stage. Previously, only the top six teams from the league phase qualified for the playoffs.

However, under the updated structure, the top eight teams will now have the opportunity to contend for the championship.

The change aims to keep more teams in the race until the very end of the league stage, making every match carry greater significance. As part of the new setup, teams finishing between 5th and 8th place will face off in Play-in games, and the winners will progress to the Eliminator rounds.

When will the Play-ins matches be played?

The Play-in matches of the Pro Kabaddi League 12 will be played on Saturday, October 25, at the Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium in Delhi. Both play-in matches will be held on the same date, with the first game scheduled to commence at 8:00 pm and the second at 9:00 pm.
