PKL 12: Why did Pawan Sehrawat & Sagar Rathee miss the clash against Bengal Warriorz?

This is Pawan Sehrawat’s second stint with Tamil Thalaivas.

Tamil Thalaivas are facing Bengal Warriorz in Match 30 of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12) tonight at the Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium in Jaipur.

Tamil Thalaivas are placed 10th in the PKL 2025 points table with two points and a score difference of -9 from three encounters, including one win and two losses.

On the other hand, Bengal Warriorz are 11th in the standings with two points in four matches, having won a game and lost three. They have a score difference of -20.

Tamil Thalaivas began their campaign with a 38-35 victory over Telugu Titans in the season opener of PKL 12. They lost to U Mumba by a 36-33 margin and suffered a 37-28 defeat against Gujarat Giants in their previous encounter.

Why did Pawan Sehrawat & Sagar Rathee not play today?

Pawan Sehrawat is not playing today’s clash against Bengal Warriorz as the franchise has dropped the star raider. Tamil Thalaivas vice-captain Arjun Deshwal will lead the team in Pawan’s absence.

According to reports emerging online, Pawan did not travel with the team to Jaipur and was missing from the franchise’s recent social media posts, including the video clip of the players’ travel to Jaipur for the second leg of PKL 12.

There might have been a fallout between the management and Pawan, leading to his exit from the franchise, and he has likely been sent back home.

On the other hand, Sagar Rathee is also not playing today. After not playing the first two matches of the season, he made a comeback in the last game, but he has not been fielded again today against Bengal Warriorz.

According to reports, a rift is going on between Sagar and the management. Due to which he is constantly being ignored despite being fit.
