PKL 9: Haryana Steelers to host Tamil Thalaivas in Match 12
Pawan Sehrawat is set to miss the game for the team from south due to an injury.
Haryana Steelers scored an important win against Bengal Warriors in their opening encounter of the PKL 9 season. The defence operated well even in the absence of Bastami and the experienced Joginder Narwal in the corner positions. Tamil Thalaivas will be without their leading raider and season’s costliest player due to an injury. The performance did not let the performance go down and tied the match against Gujarat Giants in the opening match playing fearlessly.

Player to watch:
Manjeet Singh from Haryana Steelers will be up against his former team Tamil Thalaivas and will play a crucial role. Manjeet scored 18 raid points which are more than 90 percent of the total raid points scored by Haryana Steelers in their opening encounter against Bengal Warriors.
Himanshu Kandola playing in his first match of the PKL scored a super 10 in the absence of Pawan Sehrawat. Himanshu scored the majority of his points through bonus points which seems to be his strength. He was a retained player by the southern side under the young player’s category for PKL 9.
Key to Success
Tamil Thalaivas
The raiding department did a fantastic job in the absence of Pawan Sehrawat who could only score one raid point and left due to injury. Himanshu played a handy role in the raiding along with Himanshu Kandola. Ajinkya Pawar could not score much and could muster only three points. Ajinkya being a senior raider needs to step up.
Haryana Steelers
Apart from Manjeet Dahiya the raiding department none of the raiders could score enough points. Youngster Meetu was given the opportunity of playing the opening encounter and needs to make use of his opportunities. Vinay did a decent job in the limited opportunities along with Nitin Rawak who helped Haraya escape an all-out in the important stage.
Did you know
Ajinkya Pawar breached the 200 points raid mark and in the absence of Pawan Sehrawat is the most experienced raider with the others not even having close to 50 raid points. Overall Ajinkya to date has scored 203 raid points.
