Manjeet Chhillar set to become Assistant Coach of Telugu Titans
A huge responsibility has been given to the legendary defender.
Manjeet Chhillar, the most successful defender in Pro Kabaddi League history, will be seen in a new role from the upcoming Pro Kabaddi League season 9. According to Khel Now sources, Manjeet Chhillar may be appointed as the Assistant coach of the Telugu Titans team for the 9th season of PKL.
Manjeet Chhillar was part of the champion team of Dabang Delhi in the last PKL season and contributed significantly to the team winning the title. Now the star defender will be appointed as the Assistant coach of Telugu Titans and from next season he will be seen coaching the players.
Telugu Titans' performance in PKL season 8 was disappointing for fans
The performance of Telugu Titans last PKL season was very bad. The team won only one match out of 22 and had to face defeat in 17 matches. Titans’ four matches were tied. This was the prime reason why the team was at the bottom of the points table. Now it will be the responsibility of Manjeet Chhillar to prepare Telugu Titans anew and make them win the coveted title. Telugu Titans has tried many coaches for the last few seasons but despite this there has been no change in the performance of the team.

Manjit Chhillar holds the record for most tackle points in the history of PKL. Manjeet is the only defender to have more than 375 tackle points to his name in the tournament. He has so far scored 391 tackle points in 132 matches and is the most successful defender in the league. His experience can be of great use to the team of Telugu Titans.
